I want a P-40 also, but just so you guys know, America invented the P-40 and then Britain got a ton under Lend-Lease, also, the Brits invented the shark nose paint, just so you know

i would like to see it in the chinese markings or even the soviet, then again the brazillians were very colourful...us ones were rather drab..:)

Sorry it isn't a better picture but this is the Breitling Fighters new colours for it's P40 for the 2002 season.  They're based at Duxford Imperial War Museum.

The shark-nose paintjob on the P-40's was copied from the Australians.

Aussies are Brit rejects, remember history class? ;) ;) (kidding!)

IMO, if the p-40 gets into AH , I hope it gets the Flying Tigers colors (with chinese markings and all). For the mid-war model use brit markings and for the late war model use american markings.

Yup, I live inbetween Leicester & Peterborough.  Replicant = Nexx

The AVGs P40s had shark teeth because the actual P40 aircraft were requisitioned back from the RAF.  The RAF had already done the colour scheme and all so when delivered to the AVG they kept the shark teeth on the planes.
