Add a word Koenig in front of Tiger and here is what you get (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Thought Panther (http://koti.mbnet.fi/~staga/psvk/panther_g_02.jpg) would be faster (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Actually, that was the intent of the post, actually two-fold: Gimme a perk vehicle, or the ability to transfer my V-perks to B-perks....hehe, new terminology! V-Perks, B-Perks,F-Perks!

Rip that ain't no Tiger! Were talking 70 tonnes of pure unadulterated 23 mph, 128mm I don't think you can stop this gun, 250mm front sloped, 150mm driver sloped, I can't kill this thing if my life depended on it JAGDTIGER. Oh BTW we got pics of climbing on one at the Armorery in Maryland, we shall call it mecca for others it is Aberdeen. But you could kill it from the iside 80mm and with almost 0* of slope. But she has a MG-34 mounted on her tail for the lil buggers that try and strafe her. Bring on the PanzerKampfwagen VIB please.

I love German stuff but it is time for a little diversity, and this is a very cool tank.

Rip knows something, he is just teasing us. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I have a funny feeling that since HT is working on the armor problem, that we will see another GV or 2, V-perk included.
I smell cake!

Btw if I have to spend my V-perks on something, It would have to be 120 tons of 8mph terror. Complete with FV 20mm, and 128mm + 75L70 coaxel in the turrent.
-
S!
Would be nice to have the German Tiger and Panther, also T34/85 and maybe Sherman and M18 Tank destroyer. But the Tiger with it's superior optics/88mm KwK shall reign the battle field and laugh on the Hispano dweebies trying to strafe it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)Good combo would be Panthers and Tigers escorted by Ostwinds/PzIV (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)Oh well..a man shall have his dreams.

I would be surprized if they are doing all this work on revamping the armor that they would'nt include a V-Perk.

M-26 !!
-
Gents,
All this Tiger talk is silly.
I'll take my M26 Pershing anyday.
-
Pershings got my vote, though the JagdTiger is my fav.
The Heavy Tank M26 "Pershing" was a major redesign among the trial vehicles (T-type series) destined to replace the Medium Tank M4. The change of category was imposed by the weight increase connected to the armament increase.
The first M26 reached Europe in February 1945 and immediately became a "best seller", being the only Allied tank capable of beating (at an acceptable cost) the German "zoo" (Tigers and Panthers). After the VE-day the M26 widely soldiered in the Pacific.
The M26, the best US tank of WWII, had a long post-war service life in many countries, until it was replaced by the M48 and M60s series.
-
Bah, the M-26 was garbage--there were so many more heavily used tanks that fall into the same catagory, plus nearly everyone one of them was faster then the Pershing.
I'd still take a M4A3E2-76 over that thing anyday.
It's still dog slow, and underpowered. And the 90mm AA gun is barely capable of contending with the Soviet 100mm and 122mm guns, and the German 88mm AA to AT conversions, let alone the HV AT guns (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Be better to go with the Cobra Sherman, Panther G, and one of the IS series tanks for each of the big 3, respectively.
-
Oh c'mon, we know where this is heading. I might as well start it:
Bring the Madcat to AH!!! Though a Supernova or Thor would make good second choices...

P.S. I'm assuming that some of you do know what I'm talking about, I hope...

C'mon, that would be beyond a perk! It'd have to be worth, oh, at least 150-200 perkies.
Besides, all Daishi pilots are Clan Heavy Laser dweebs! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Hey hey Pershing really isnt that bad, its biggest weakness was low power/weight ratio. In all ways (except character) its equal to superior vs Tiger 1. It has advantage over Panther in side armor thickness, although its all vertical, and most of all in shilouette, Pershing is actually pretty low slung and has excelent profile. Frontal armour is 100mm at about 45degrees.
As for the M3 90mm gun its at least equal or better than the awful Soviet D25T 122mm as far as AP is concerned, the 122 was barely equal to Panther's KwK43/L70 in AP. The Soviet 100mm was a better gun but only mounted on SU100 during the war or as field artillery.
As for preffering a 76mm M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo over Pershing, think these facts over: Jumbo is actually slower 22 vs 25mph, it has much weaker gun HVAP or no HVAP, M3 90mm had it too, its less realiable, has higher shilouette, both had same frontal armour but Pershing is much smaller target, and Pershing is also much better in HE.
In RL Pershings had trouble in Korean hills due to low power/weight ratio, so a standard Sherman was often preffered especially after the T34/85s were less common.
The IS2 is an interesting tank, the big 122mm gun had poor AP performance for its size. The tank only carried 28 rounds of 2 piece ammo, which hurt it in combat as it slowed re-loading and had short ammo duration. The 122mm had great HE capability fring a 25kg+ shell. Frontal armour was about 110mm mostly vertical on the early ones, and side was about 85-90mm. Shilouette was the best of all relevant heavy tanks (IS3 doesnt count), its really low and narrow. It had the usual soviet low quality optics and ammo which hurt a bit. Overall it was good for what the Russians wanted it for in WW2, but not too useful in AH due to very low ammo count (considering 75mm and 88/90mm can do better and have much more ammo- Panther has 80-90 75mm).
T34/85 would be good in AH, or a nice late ambush painted Panther Ausf.G with the chin mantlet.
BTW Pershings weren't widely used after VE day in the Pacific, they just had a few of them in the very end of Okinawa and they did pretty much nothing.
-
yep, the one and only PANZER ELITE, to bad they don't make it anymore it's a spectacular sim. T34-85-M44's shown here, game even has Pershings, thanks to alot of players developing the add-ons www.panzerelite.com (http://www.panzerelite.com)
