Several people in various threads have mentioned one of a kind prototypes or low-production number spinoffs of World War II fighters or bombers that never entered combat.
Theoretically speaking, if HTC were to offer to set up a combat area specifically for such aircraft, which ones would you like to see included? And Why? Just for funsies!

Although I don't think it's a good idea (just want the record to reflect that lol):
Grumman XF-5F Skyrocket. My favorite WWII Era plane, hands down.
and the Heinkle HE100 (although I'm sure it woud be undermodled  )

Where to start, where to start.
Second the 335, although I'd like to see that as a perk plane in the MA.
I'm thinking of all those really whacked out Luftie ideas that never got off the ground, or did so in only limited numbers.
The HO 229 (any of you remember _Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe_? The 229 was my favorite ride).
All of those great 262 variants (how about the one with the 75mm cannon that they had to abandon because the muzzle flash blinded the pilot? Or the two-man glass nose fighter bomber (I've a model of that one waiting on my shelf)).
I'd also like to see the ME 410, although I have high hopes that will one day make it into the MA, since it was produced in numbers equivalent to the 110G.
I think this idea of a "what if" arena is a fantastic one. I can't see it happening any time soon, since HTC is geared toward the MA planeset (and rightly so too). But it would be something interesting to begin work on.

Love the idea. Get me a Do-335...

Pyörremyrsky: A Finnish plane built around the DB605 engine. The "PM" was actually a better performer than the 109G with the same engine. Only one prototype was built, first flight on November 21st 1945.
The plane is on display at the Finnish Air Force Museum at Tikkakoski:

I'd just like to see it happen first. Then I'll worry about which planes....:D

Some prototypes would be relatively easy to work up into a flight model. Some extrapolations would have to be made of course, but it would be impossible to achieve complete accuracy anyway.
A rew that would be possible;
F4U-3
XF6F-6
DO-335
ME-109 K-14
I'm sure there are others. Flight test data should be available on these.

Hey sandman,
Is that a CS mod you were flying? Where can I get mods for CS?

being a jug fan, I'd have to say that this hypothetical arena would have to include THIS plane:
Republic XP-72 (http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/research/p72.htm)
The version with the 4 37mm cannons. Of course, it would be fun and all, but I'd like to see a more well rounded early war planeset completed first. Maybe after AH version 2.0. :)

I feel certain that Sikboy is thinking of "Blackhawk" who, with his international squadron of do-gooders, used the SkyRocket to defend the sky against Nazi aggressors.
HAWKAAAAAAAAAA
(anyone else remember Blackhawk? Or how he switched to flying the XF-90 in the 50's?

It would be nice to see the ki87 and the Shinden modeled .

Do-335 Pfeil for sure.
What about a Ju-88/Fw190 or Bf109 Mistel combination? Would be fun to blow up CVs with :)
Sandman, where does this pic come from? Crimson Skies? :D
Oh, since we're at it, it would be fun to have a (perked) Rocketeer backpack rocket, so after bailing we could chase our killer, hang onto the canopy frame and snuff the pilot with a pointblank C.96 Mauser headshot....Mmmmokay, that isn't a good idea :D

Gloster Vampire or the Mig 15!
