Er..Austin is one of the most liberal cities in Texas, his "gun" is probably where he's sitting (up his butt)

Leslie (http://www.austin360.com/news/special/leslie/leslie.html), lives on 6th street.

I've never actually run into Leslie, but the only place I go on 6th anymore is BW3s or Buffalo Billiards.

btw, proper pronunciation of "udie" is "Ooooooooooodeee!"

The sad/funny thing is that the guy/girl/it in that picture was actually on the ballot for Mayor of the City of Austin.

Thank the good Lord in Heaven above that I live in Round Rock...

LOL!  There's also some 70 yr old man that walks around wearing nothing but a thong holding protest signs on Guadalupe.  I had the unfortunate experience of seeing him as I was getting my oil changed.

Get off Udie's (pronounced like "Rudy's") back. He's only in his mid-30s. Its that ozone-depleted atmosphere in Texas combined with hours of harsh conditions while torturing fish that gives Udie that ruddy look.

Leslie isn't even a blip on the weirdness meter for Austin.  He is just a lazy hustler, not a true Freak.

True Gadfly.
Drag Rats are the worst.  Most of them are just stupid kids from the suburbs thinking it's cool to act homeless.  One time I was walking down the street, and one of them blatantly said, "Money for hullicinagens!  I need money for hullicingens!"  LOL!  One of the few times I'd given serious thought to giving someone money.

Eaglecv, no, you can verbally abuse him all you like, and so long as you don't pull his hair or put a run in his stockings, no Police will bother you.  Some of the real Winos that cluster about his carboard bicycle trailer may take offense, though-be warned.
