Sir Slob (really...) won the first Legend of the Red Dragon Tournament my BBS has hosted.  

Since turnout and reaction was so favorable to the tournament, I've decided to have ANOTHER one, starting...NOW!  This time, the prize is $50...paid via PayPal

Slobbery was only spending so much time in LORD because I ran the tardlet out of the universe in tradewars.

I used to love Tradewars! I remember having year-long wars on the local BBS. I ended up creating my own version of it with new ships and rules but that was so long ago. LORD was a real trip down memory lane.

I think I'll check that out too.

I kid you not, this is true...

I telneted in, played my LORD turns and saw that Fatty was online.  He was playing Tradewars.  So, I thought I'd give it a whirl.  Made my player (Q), launched from the planet you start at.  Entered in the sector I wanted to travel to and went...2nd hop in, intercepted by the Ferrengi and blown up.  In 3 mins, I went from Merchant Cruiser to Escape Pod....geeesh!
