What's with the messed-up paint scheme?  Are the tan panels the replacement parts or did they really build it out of two different aircraft?

The tan is primer.  Rest of the airplane is bare metal so if they bothered to prime the cowlings and wing fillets I expect they will paint the whole airplane.

Clipped wing Spit, eh?  Didn't they only do that on the low alt varieties?    If so, that'd be a Spitfire LF Mk XIVe (looks like the wing housed 2 20 mm and 2 0.50 calibre).
