Simply question, would you like to see this developed? Think of the plane set, almost as large as WW2...
Yes or no?
-
yeeees :)
airguard
-
no finish ww2 first
-
no, jets be boring.
-
Nope, not for me thanks.
-
No thanks.
-Sikboy
-
No thanks, would rather see "Dawn of Aces High".
-
I would love it, but I wouldn't like it if it took talent and development away from the current project. If HTC speads too thin, both products would suffer.
Now if it were all inclusive, all done in the same program, and you either chose one of many korea arenas with appropriate planesets inside, or on of many wwII arenas with appropriate planesets inside (it could keep expanding, all within the same program). Offline, you could have any plane you want to kill those circling P-51's....
-
Absotively Posolutely!
-
No, HTC are doing a mighty fine job with AH and I wouldn't want them to get sidetracked developing another sim.
-
Not at the cost of the current game. Remember who brung ya to the dance.

Just as soon as they model every aircraft used in WW2.

No, I'd like to have a life outside of HTC thanks.

Yes!
Either that or a '1946' arena.... Anything that provides options is good.

Ahh, your job would be the same, no extra work. Just finish the WW2 planeset, then start adding Korean war aircraft types (the prop plane set would be relatively easy, you take your late war WW2 aircraft and modify them) then create a separate arena for only these aircraft. :D Easier than you think. AW did this along time ago, Jet arena or something? (too many lost brain cells ago)

It would? I've always thought getting a guns solution in jets would be a blast.
Then again, a 200 perk AIM-9A might be entertaining. Load 2 'winders? 400 perks. Hope the kill's worth the cost, and how stupid will you feel when those 200 perks fly for the sun...
-
Just finish the WW2 planeset
That easy eh? I'd let Targetware crack on with the Korean sim, and let HTC carry on making the award winning WW2 sim we enjoy now.

No missiles were ever fired in Korea in ATA combat I'm quite sure. It would most definately be all guns.
-
Jets with guns! YES!!
-
Someone is already making a dedicated Korean War online simulation.
http://www.targetware.net/
http://www.gamezone.com/gamesell/p18186.htm
-
No...because the fighting would be much the same as we have here, just with faster planes.
I think a Vietnam theatre would be more interesting: the use of the rear-aspect missiles would ask for a completely different maneuvering to meet the firing parameters like min and max range, G-load... (Cfr Shaw's book Fighter Combat, Tactics and Maneuvering).
But I agree: let's Superfly have a life (after he gives us the COMPLETE WWII planeset....including Bachem Natter and other curiosities). ;)
-
No Thankyou, would much rather see the rest of WWII fleshed out then a Spanish Civil War planeset :)
-
Jets smell bad.
-
By the time HTC finished a Korean War sim, the graphics and gameplay of AH and Korean War sim would be obsolete.
-
What Revvin said
-
The Hawker Sea Fury would surely be tempting but I would prefer to see many more WW2 planes in AH before they attempt a new project.

no.
If I wanna play Korean War, I will select Target Korea (or MiG Alley :)).
-Mitsu
-
Nope, WW2 only pls.
-
Why?
We are doing fine with the WW2 setup and we have LOTS of new planes that can and hopefully will be added.
As others have said, if I want an online sim for Korea, I will go and use Target Korea when it is released.
-
At some point, after all the planes, ships, tanks, and infantry weapons have been modeled, AH will have little room for improvement other than refining and updating existing models. If and when that point is reached, all that talent will need something to do to keep busy. I would like WWI first over Korea, but I would prefer Vietnam over everything including AH. If there is a plane I love the most, more than the P-51, F4U, B-17, F-86, and F-15, it is most certainly the F-4 Phantom II. Of course Project 1 finally got a publisher. If it is as good as it looks, my time for AH may dwindle even lower than it is now.
-
In a perfect world... yes.
In the real world... No. I'd rather see HTC add some cool experimental WW2 planes; that would satisfy my jet cravings.
At some point, after all the planes, ships, tanks, and infantry weapons have been modeled...
lol, I can imagine Superfly's enthusiasm when he's 83 years old, having to get up in the morning to model the Supermarine Walrus Mk.IV
:D
-
No thanks.

S!
No, prefer to see a set of WWI planes and enviroment.
Or better yet, a Spanish Civil War enviroment... :)
-
umm, does target korea (http://www.targetware.net/) ring a bell?
-
I agree I'd rather see the WWII planeset finished. Plus, HTC deserves a life... Another point of interest that arises is the need for strat and graphics changes. When I mean graphics, I mean let's have some more interesting maps! Come on, the same three in rotation is getting a little old. I'd like to look forward to new planes AND new maps. Plus, I don't know how the maps are modeled, but is it possible to have some more interesting geographic features, like deep canyons or underpasses (arches)and such. I think different terrain features would interest a lot of people! For strat changes I think industry and performance of that country need to be tied closer together. It would be interesting if a certain factory (ex ball bearing) were hit, and then the 109's at a base would not work. This would be better suited to the CT. I'll put on my firesuit now...begin the flaming.

Ok, I've read all the 'nays' on a Korea arena and I've changed my mind.
I'm now in favor of a 1911 arena that explores the first use of aircraft as offensive weapon in Turkish-Italian War.
My heart beats faster at the thought of this.....
-
Yes! I would love to see that eventually.
-
The was no LW in Korea.
No LW, no whinning.
No fun.
-
Yes, on a WW1 arena, though it wouldnt be as balanced as what we have now.
-
NO to Korea!!
YES to WW1!!
SKurj
-
I wouldnt mind haveing the mig 15bis and F86F-40 available somewhere to duke it out together..but more like one arena with no other concession rather then a simulation of the Korean war.
-
yes
-
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stick with WW2.
-
No, in fact, take the ME262 out of AH. We dont need no stinkin jets!
Hopefully, HTC will concentrate on updatinf and improving the WWII simulation they have built.
-
Jets are for kids.

Much as I'd like for Superfly to have an occasional day off - YES to Korea!!!!!
-
Not a chance. Would rather see HTC go the opposite direction than Korea.
Then, given the choice between WWI and WWII, I'll take the latter.

Yes or no?
No!
Think of it this way...resources would need to be used
for this "version"...that means fewer resources for AH
as it now exists.
-
Conditional YES, not knowing any better shouldnt be hard for them to do. Just need model 2 more planes, right?
I'd ;eave the resource arguments to the professionals, but HELL YEAH I'd fly it.
-
Whelp.. if were talking about doing it with non-propoganda FM's.. it would be a rooski/chink walkover on the round eyed occidentals. A veritaible blond-haired-tied-eyed asskickin banquet with 20mm riddled shredded saber salads topping the menu.
i can't think of anything scarier than running into citabria in a mig15.
well... maybe if i had a whole buncha help and a coupla sidewinders..
:D
-
Nope
-
YES!:)
-
NOT... until the WW2 planeset is done along with a number of unneeded WW2 aircraft added for the fluff-factor.
Air Warrior Korea had some success, but I found it tedious shooting around at 500knts plus all the time, just not as fun.
-
No to Korea. it's about to be done to death by other sims, anyway.
The Spanish Civil War gets a resounding YES from me, though - and quite a few of its planes could be used early in WW2, too.
Esme
-
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stick with WW2.
-
No thanks, never, no chance please ;)
If HTC would make a new Korean sim that would make them IMOL wannabee's, as soon as the WB crew or chief (Hotseat?) saw the Korea anouncement he went into modelling an F86 for WB3, WB3 not finnished, lots of planes still needing to be added etc. To me that seemed like "I can do this too" but all he does it take important time from the main idea. Don't want that to happen to HTC.
-
Korea? naaa
But the planes from 1946...yessss

Yeah, I agree, leave it to targetware.
My regards,

-
Only after we have all WWII aircraft are done and remodelled
When we have all vechiles we need after all boats added after we can be soldiers and after the subs added.
Than when AH is finnished we could start a korean war set
But AH is never finnished there will always be work to do
isn't it the new planes than it is updating the game
For a korean plane set there is something like target korea.
i think it's just a stupid question
for once and for all this is a WORDWAR TWO!!! SIMULATION

All of u NO people STFU.
This is (afterall) a forum for people to say YES.
PS: Sounds like the art department is understaffed.

No, lets stick to WWII.
Lasse
-
no WW2 1st later by all means
-
while the korean conflict was the birth of the jet age and so hisoricaly important , I don't like the idea.
i pay my bucks for a WWII sim, and only that.
not interested in a korean sim..:)
-
They should develop the WWII game first,
#1 fix scoring
#2 fix the ground vehicle problems
#3 add more ground vehicles
#4 add submarines
etc
-
No thanks - keep it WW2 only.
-
YES!
-
um.......NO!!!!
-
NO !!!!
Just give full concentration to make that existing Modell better step by step. And if everyone is contend you can beginn thinking for another Modell.
Greets,
Alino:rolleyes:
