Please tell me why an ex-president would even consider the idea?

On second thought, if the show was on btwn noon and 4pm, it'd be a good way to get the democratic message out as a large percentage of their voter base are sitting on their arse flippin btwn Opra and Jerry Springer during those hours now :)

I think your wrong on this one. I think its the lack of "spotlight". He craves it terribly.

You know, the best thing about this quote is it can be used against both sides simultaneously. Against conservatives, because it is a stereotypical view held by many conservatives, and against the Liberal/Democrat because it is true.
