Polikarpov I-16

I really cool little mono-plane fighter created in the '30s and used in WW2.  It was the best fighter in the world when it came out and still did pretty well in WW2.

Didn't stand a chance against the 109 E's actually, even less against later 109's. It stood a pretty good chance in the Spanish civil war where it was up against 109 B's but the B's were faster and thus many pilots learned the E fighting technique. It was VERY outdated by the outbreak of the war, like more or less all other Russian fighters at the time. Very nice plane though, small and agile.

The I-153 Biplane version (which was actuelly built after the mono version!) was longer used I think, I'd like to see both versions but If I had to chose 1 it would be the Biplane version, We really need biplanes in AH at least a Sword Fish, Gloster Gladiator, CR42 and I-153 :D
