Title: HELP! Anyone heard of this problem/Virus???
Post by: Replicant on May 04, 2002, 04:58:32 AM
Hi all

I have just started having a weird problem with Outlook Express that sounds like a virus to me.  Everytime I reboot and enter Outlook Express I get a new 'Welcome to Outlook Express' email and all other items in my Inbox are missing BUT all the folders and sub-folders of the main Inbox are still complete.

I'm running Windows XP with Norton Anti-Virus 2002 which is fully up to date.  I've since done a complete system scan and not found anything.  I haven't installed any new program recently although I've had some unknown emails sent to me but I deleted them straight away (email virus scan was also on).

Any suggestions or thoughts??

Yeah - ditch Outlook Express altogether!  :)  Get an alternative email program like TheBat which is what I use - http://www.ritlabs.com/the_bat/   :D
