Title: Saitek Cyborg Usb Question
Post by: Max on May 04, 2002, 10:06:02 AM
Since switching over to XPHome, I'm having some minor problems with my Cyborb USB Gold. Namely, when running X-Plane or FS2002, everything tends to roll or yaw left. Thankfully, AH doesn't seem to be effected.

Initially I used the XP "plug n play" drivers, then tried the Saitek XP patch drivers...SD021 I think they're called.

I realize that the Cyborg doesn't officially meld with XP but was wondering if anyone has a workaround for this issue.

Thanks in advance :)

I use Win2k with Cyborg USB.  I've never had to install any drivers to get the thing to work.  No Saitek software installed, no problems.

Sancho,

Have you used the Cyborg with MSFS200x or X-Plane??

I've noticed that the when viewing the rudder input indicator bar (in Game Device CP) the default position is left of center, even after calibrating it, which would explain the left yaw/drift. Is there any way to correct for this? Do the hash marks at the base of the handle allow for rudder calibration?

Is it just me or do others find Saitek sticks to be a major P.I.T.A?

I have used mine with x-plane but not msfs2000.  Had no problems in X-plane.  Is there a deadband adjustment in x-plane?  I haven't used it in a while.
