How can you say night sucks?

It's almost perfect. When the sun starts sinking slowly into the western horizon, you RTB.

Then you go snuggle up to the true owner of the house (don't think so? wait till the divorce!) and talk about her day and how tough she has it. You mix her a drink, pretend to be interested in what show she's watching for 15 minutes or so.

Then you say "honey, I think i'll clean up the kitchen for you" or "dear, I'm going to just vacuum the bedroom and do a quick clean on the bathtub."

By the time you do that.. voila, sunrise or full daylight. Time to fly.

She's happy, you're happy... you might even get lucky.

Night is good.. it gives ya a chance to refill the whiskey glass or beer mug a few times too.

How can ya not like night?  :confused:  It's just no good for flying AH is all.. but has lots of other potential benefits.

I like the sunset and sunrise - and there is nothing hideous about them.... the orange glow makes them look just like they should...  :)

Night is GREAT for Ostwind drivers. You're almost impossible to spot, and it's the one time you can see your tracers.

heh, had one of my best runs in ATA in an F4U-1D at nighttime, 14 kills one sortie.

I love the nights...

And if it gets too hard you can always brighten up your monitor... Or in my case I can tweak my video card under the Color and up the Gamma settings, save them and have them labeled Night AH...  I can brighten it up to at least dusk...  But I enjoy flying in the dark...  hell Ive lived most of my life in the dark, why not fly that way...

i timed night from dusk to dawn and yep those are by far the longest times. at the time i was giving updates as to how long it was lasting checking my watch as i saw dawn arrive. "ok night lasts about 1 hour" figuring dawn had about 5 mins at most left then 10, 20,30, 40, 50 mins later i realize it's still dawn i check my watch again. "ok night lasts about 2 hours". well it's more like 2 hrs 15 mins give or take a few heh

Well I fly fighters ( the sim part of AH) not bombers or GVs (the game part of AH) so night is no good.  Chasing icons around is not entertaining.

Tool box lids are flying open... Tools are being thrown on the hanger floor...
Amidst a low rumble of grumbling and stomping feet...
BOOT sees a bunch of drunken Bomber Pilots grab big wrenches and head off running towards Funkedup's Barracks...

i like night. i even get kills easier at night than during daytime.
