Title: Try the attached gunsite
Post by: wsnpr on May 08, 2002, 04:19:58 AM
Try the attached gunsite. Was playing around. Seems to have good reference points. Feel free to modify it to improve it.
Sorry that I can't post any pics, I am a newbie at this web stuff.

Howdy all,
Jeez, I'm almost having as much fun making gunsites than flying! (hehe said almost!)  :)

Here's a newer, improved one. Again, please feel free to modify it.
Also, please give some feedback as to what does and doesn't work for you. I'll try to do more mods then.

Thnx,

Title: Try the version 4 if you like this style of sight
Post by: wsnpr on May 13, 2002, 04:38:03 AM
Try the version 4.
For the Spit.V:
Set cannon convergence at 650 yds. Set the machine guns at 200-300 yds (the .303 rnds seem to be useless at longrange anyway.)
The center horizontal line for 650 yds.
The next lower horizontal for 800 yds.
The next lower horizontal for 1000-1200 yds.
The two lowest (wider) horizontals for rockets. ( for rocket equipped planes)
The diagonal dots(squares) are at 45 degrees.
Practice using it in your plane of choice using the online target.
Type .target xxxx ( x = distance in yards).
To remove target, type .target 0

Once you know the reference points for long range shooting, you can hit that pesky tempy or pony running from you

Enjoy!
