Just the right plane for AH....
150km/hr, no real armament or use to speak of but difficult to kill I bet.
Mind you if we get an FPS function maybe they could be used to drop off commandos?
-
And people say my idea of adding biplanes is dumb ;) j/k
It would be cool to fly but what roll could it play?
maybe we could get a fighting paratrooper (it would only carry 1) or maybe it could carry a small cargo load.

Ahhhh shuddup Famin!
fediddleing time waster.
Bring the Tojo to AH!

the Fieseler 156 was a good plane but it was only a army co-operation,battelfield recon, liaison and casualty evactuation plane not much use in AH. nice pretty plane thou

no role whatsoever, youve got it..... isn't it great!

Bring the Miles Magister to AH!

Yes, I love Fieseler 156!!!
Great little plane could take off from 20 meter strip. :)
-
Yes, Fieseler 156 was good plane but would be totally useless at game. Focke-Wulf Fw 189A-1 Uhu would be better plane for reconnaissance and Arado Ar 232 Tausendfüßler 'Tatzelwurm' woulb be nice transport/goon plane. Ar 232 was front line transport plane and they were designed to land independently of landing runways.
Ar 232 pay load was 4500 kg and armament two Mg 131, two Mg 151 and additional eight MG 34
Uhu carried two MG 17 and twin MG 81 + four 50kg bomb ;)

The Storch was indeed difficult to shoot down; IIRC Udet tried making mock attacks and nearly had a fit when his gun camera film was inspected afterwards and the Storch didnt appear on one single frame...
As for the Storch's use, have a little imagination, guys! Right NOW it'd..
- make a great spotter for naval and shore battery guns.
- be good for trying to spot incoming GVs
- could be used to direct the fire of PZIVs using their 75mm guns as artillery
- could be used (with a gunner; some had a single MG at teh rear of the cabin) to mow down descending paratroops
Possibilities...
- if it can haul enough weight, let it be able to drop a single GV resupply chute
- let it act as an aerial ambulance. If wounded pilots bail and are picked up by a Storch and taken to a fiendly field before they die, they get more perkies than if they just end flight on hitting the ground, and the Storch pilot gets perkies, too for a succesful rescue.
- add in AI artillery that can be called up only by Storches (or equivalent in other airforces).
- could drop smoke bombs to either mark atacking GVs or try to make life difficult for them.
I vote for having a Storch in the game! :-)

wtg esme... I was just having a little troll at all the 'bring the B29' or 'bring the P61' to AH posts, but you have actually suggested some fun and sensible missions for the storch. It obviously should be in AH now!!

Lysander!

hmm...i have an idea: let's provide each base with a commander. if the commander escapes(evacuated by a Fiessler Storch,of course), a ca new airfield is created in a previously unused location on the map.
If he is captured or killed, before or during the escape...well,no new airfield is created. The moment the commander leaves the base,it becomes land of the enemy,so evacuating should be used only when the town/base is about to fall.
What do you guys think of this?
-
I like the Idea of letting it carry a 1xcargo of some sort as Esme and I both said, but the rear gun in it was only 1x7.5mm mg with 150 rounds (3xcatriges with 50 bullets each). But it would be fun/challanging to gun in :) ... But I think we should have Fairey SwordFish, CR42, hs-123, Gloster Gladiator and I-153 biplanes before we add anything else :), or maybe they could be in the same patch:D
Gloster Gladiator:

What esme said

Heinschel 126 :D
-
Give us a lysander or storch :D
there was guns in lysander (.303 and 20mm) and in storch (7.9mm)
so it could be used to fight :D
and of course to what esme said
-
"Lizzie" (Lissy) got two .303 in. Browning mgs mounted above each wheel spat, ammo 500 rds per gun. And single .303 in. Lewis or Vickers mg at rear cockpit. Bombload was two 250 lb or 16x20 lb, plane could also carry passenger or supplies. :p
