Title: Maybe building a simulator ~ need ideas/help

Howdy. Im thinking of building a simulator. I saw some pictures of some of the awesome set-ups at the con.

I'm wondering ~ does anyone know of some plans/ideas/websites on how to get going?

Also, does anyone know of how to get actual gauges that work off usb/serial feeds?

there are quite a few racing simulator websites around that might give u some ideas.. offhand i don't have any links but they may provide some insight.
