I think the hit stripes of aces high is already realistic. :)

Hit sparks/explosions.....yes, they're fine as is.
The dirt thrown up by the ground, no. That needs to be changed.

The Dirt Divets do seem rather large, and they only obscure the vision of the aircraft not the GV.

Remove hit sprites for non-HE shells please.

Mitsu? any idea what guns are being fired?
It almost looks like the flash is actually a tracer impacting.. not sure if that would make any difference.
I think cannon fire that explodes on an external surface perhaps should 'flash' but what about ball ammo? wouldn't it just punch through leaving no flash and just debris?
I've seen other guncam film that does NOT show a flash for every strike.
Perhaps SMALLER sprites and different sprites depending on whether its cannon or MG and whether the hit exploded externally or internally...

They HAVE to redo the tracer sprites, in that flick it showed the tracers being almost like smoke coming out of the bullet, just like in "Pearl Harbor" when Danny is chasing the zero
