Title: Frame Rate Category?

Shouldn't the discussion boards have a category for frame rates? I would like to know how well certain computer systems work with Aces High before I upgrade my system. How does an Athlon compare to a similar speed PIII? Is there any real advantage to using a GeForce video card over a TNT2 Ultra? Sometimes people comment on their frame rates but it gets lost in the shuffle. How about a seperate category for frame rates? Your opinions, plz.

Here are my comp stats (if anyone cares)

AMD K7 Athlon
500mhz
128 megs
17.0 gig HD
56k modem
Voodoo 3 1000 video card

I run 800x600 in AH and I get about 30-40 fps

IMHO, it runs great, I love it, the graphics are sweet, I mean it's great  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Hi folks,
         Here is the URL for Fradim's benchmark page for the"other sim". He has created a page for AH benchmarks and has developed a protocol for testing so that relatively accurate comparisons can be made.

If you go and take the time to read the protocol and do the benchmark we will all have a growing database of really useful information for upgrading and system tweaking etc.The numbers I have posted there are for my old CPU so I need to resubmit myself. V770 TNTII Ultra  core clk 160 mem 200
Diamond Driver version 4.01
128MB CAS3 PC100 RAM
FPS 47 as per Fradim's protcol  
 
This translates to a flying view FPS between 56-82 depending on the amount of cons and ack.
