Just to get this straight.. A buff is a bomber..right? And what is E and HO and such. Forgive me .. im new on the lingo :)

E= Energy. Speed, alt or the combination of the two.

HO= head on. Lotta people squeak about it. Just ignore 'em.

Buff=fluff=easy-mode-bomber.

A BUFF is a B-52.  It is not any other bomber made before the B-52 nor any bomber made since the B-52.  I guess the majority of people in this game are too lazy or ignorant to type "bomber"... kind of like calling the N1K George a Niki.

Well, when you spend a majority of your time online typing- it would only make sense to shorten words, wouldn't it?

Most people do know BUFF stands for B-52... however, Buff does not stand for B-52. All caps means it's a combo of different words. Kind of like AFAIK..

Look where niki is on your keyboard, then look where N1K is on your keyboard. Kind of inconvenient isn't it?

You may be right re: bombers, but the first bird I heard called that was the CH-46 Air Rescue choppers in SEA. Stood for "Big Ugly Friendly fediddleers".

I always heard the term Buff in reference to the B-52.

If memory serves me, it was an acronym for "Big Ugly Fat F*ck"


Now if memory really serves me, guys like Lazs will refer to buffs as "Fluffs"

I believe Lazs uses this as an acronym for "F*ckin' Loser Unskilled Frustrated Fighters"

I could be mistaken on that though. You may want to ask Lazs for a direct quote on that one.:D
