I got in a few very good fights tonight and wanted to give a
to the fine pilots I went up against, when I pulled up channel 1 my kill message was swept away by the hundred mile an hour buffer, I had no clue who I killed because of the morons on channel 1 talking about Arafat, liberals, Clinton, Bush, why Germany lost WWII, you know, the usual crap. Except lately with so many people in the arena the politics and general useless BS on channel 1 is making it difficult to carry on a conversation. Is there something that can be done? Seperate buffer for kills and chat? I dunno. Seems something might need to be changed.

Personally, rather than getting the whole arena's score plastered in my buffer (which I don't even care a lick about)... I would prefer something that would simply flash on the screen somewhere "Kill 1" "Kill 2" and so on, then fade away. Maybe "Kill 1 of xxxx" where xxxx is, the name of the victim. And when I die, something flashes "You were killed by xxxx"
No reason for knowing victory numbers of anyone else, I don't care who's killed how many anyways... just my own tally.

Interesting idea SW...

I like it. Though, I'd like to see a flash when a squadmate earns a kill too so we can congratulate each other. You know, that squadron unity stuff.

Maybe HTC could give us a separate scroll window that has only the system generated messages (Kills, field caps, down alerts)
-
or could just .squelch 1 if the chat is getting too much. Then .squelch 6 and then you won't see other people's kills but still see your own.
-
.squelch 1 - very first thing I do when I log on
.squelch 6 - turns off everyone elses kills except for mine.
Would love to see my squad mates kills or my country kills.
Don't care to other country kills
