I'm betting they went to go see Star Wars Episode II. What a bunch of slackers!
:D
-
Heres my guess...the guy that financed HTC (and possibly still is?)is taking them all out to lunch! :)
-
Going at 12:15 today :) I couldnt get the 12:01, 02, 03, or 05 showings last night.. stupid ticket website couldnt authorize the credit card. Either way, I'm excited. Sad thing is, some friends of mine already downloaded the freakin DVD! Pirated before its released.. crazy stuff.
-
You mean the HTC folks don't always take three hour lunches? :D
-
It has been estimated that American businesses will experience $319 million loss in productivity today due to people calling in sick to go see "Attack of the Clowns." Sheesh! Think I'll give it a couple of weekends for the lines to diminish before I go (and it'll be a matinee; ain't no move except "The Two Towers" I'm gonna shell out full price to see).

Don't US cinemas have evening showings? I'd never dream of taking time of work to go to the cinema!
-
Oh yes Flossy, but during the day (usually before 6:00pm) you can see movies at "matinee" prices, which is about half to less than the evening rate.
Also, the theatres tend to be less crowded during the weekday due to kids in schoold, folks at work and so on.
I do not get all the hub-bub about a movie, but it seems we Americans have placed some sort of wierd value on "being first" to see a movie. Really strange people I tell ya.
-
what is really sad is I have seen it twice already, Saw it at midnight and at 10am this morning my boss bought the IT department tickets, woohoo.
-
Only thing worthwhile in the whole Star Wars series was Princess Lay-ya and she an old bat by now.
-
Tell me that Jar Jar takes a phaser round to the noggin...
-
Hblair phasers are from Star Trek you DWEEB!!!! :D
In Star WarZ it's "Blasters"
:D
-
Man I would love to plug jar jar:)
-
saw it last night at midnight also, come to find out, the whole stinking clone war is Jar Jar's fault.
-
Forgive me for I watch very little TV, and attend about 1 movie every two years (prefer reading and computers, thank you...) What is a Jar Jar?

I can see it vividly... This dedicated group went to see Star Wars to get some new ideas to make Aces High better.
"HiTech"... Doing mental gymnastics trying to duplicate the balistics and the effects in his brain!
"Pyro"... Watching the audiences every movement to see what types of situations and spacecraft presented the most enjoyment to the spectators!
"Natedog & Superfly" ... Mentally noting the terrain and the graphics on the crafts that made them more realistic.
YANKEE... Pearing into the managers office to get some ideas on how to administer and manage large volume of excited customers.
Aurelius... Watching managements every move in handling customers in order to satistfy them to the fullest.
And Lastly "Ronnie" Checking out the promotional materials, displays and getting ideas for the webpage displays.
Man... while some "run of the mill" simulation groups grind away not coming up with fresh ideas and new vitality our elustrious group is constantly searching for new ideas and better ways to bring ACE High to higher levels. Don't think for a moment you guys fooled us into thinking you were just taking some earned time off from your work on 1.10!

Princess Leia was nice
Natalie Portman is a goddess, and she is 20 so I am not a dirty old man.

Jar-Jar Binks is a Character from Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace. He is single handedly credited with nearly destroying the entire Star Wars francise for all but the most hard core fans.
If you've never seen a Star Wars movie, Jar Jar would be the offspring of an Illiterate Circus Clown and a Reptile of some sort.
The only thing worse than Jar Jar would be the Ewoks from Return of the Jedi, and the only thing worse than Ewoks (Picture a retarded teddy bear that speaks gibberish) would be N'Sync in any movie, much less a Star Wars movie.
I was a hard-core Star Wars fan, but thanks to Jar Jar, and Lucas' poor dialogue, I'm on the road to recovery.

That's a Monty Python line, you illiterate Philistine! No, wait, Pyro said we had to be nice.
You literary challenged and culturally hostile individual of inderterminant ancestry which does not in any way mean to diminish you as a person or marginalize the valuable contributions you may or may not wish make to other persons of any genetic heritage of both sexes and hermaphrodites.
Besides, at least you aren't one of those sheep loving Bishrooks! :D

Don't spoiled it guys...
Im lookin forward to see this movie. For me the classical movie for "Shuttin brain off". Enough stress and live&die in the normal world for me.
My wife and daughter thinks Star Wars are boring, not inteligent, poor dialogs etc...
But buyin the biggest Popcorn and a Coke and takin a seat in the theater is a little break for me.

Ah, I see.... well, I dunno - to me, nothing beats going to the cinema on an evening, relaxing after a hard day at work.... doesn't seem right in the middle of the day.... especially on days like we have had here today - warmest day of the year so far! :) If I was going to skip off work, it would be to be out in the sunshine, rather than sitting in a dark cinema watching a movie... :p As it is, I had to make do with throwing the windows open and trying to get through the day with a stinking cold... :( LOL, sorry, feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment.....

warmest day of the year? in ulverston? Is that like, just above freezing with rain? aaah dear old pomgolia... I do miss it sometimes....

LOL! Nope, was fairly hot and sunny yesterday, and as we don't have air-conditioning where I work, we had to make do with opening the windows.... :)
-
I actually had the thought (just to get back on topic) that HTC and Skuzzy might be rolling on down to the phone company's offices armed with wads of ping plot's and remington pump action's to get things moving at their end.... :)
-
Nah they just drinking beer with us Norwegians, as we having our independence day the 17`th of may :D

Shufferling around and saying "mmm mmm mmm, mine i say, or i will help you not" thats fine.
Hope they did a good job, i still havent got over anakin skywalker shouting "Yippy" in episode 1.
