Title: japanese cv? or maybe not
Post by: Nilsen on May 16, 2002, 11:39:52 AM
Hi

It should not take to much work to make a japanese cv for the philipines TOD, or am i wrong?

Just think it would be cool to have :)

Is it a bad idea, to much work for nothing?.. just wondering

I believe the CMs have already asked for a Japanese CV. While that is no garauntee that it will happen I'm sure HTC are considering the possibility (though likely as a low priority).

Of higher priority than a second model for CV's are cargo ships.  This is primarily for scenarios, but I'd also like them to have a supply function in the game similar to the fuel tanks/ammo bunkers/barracks for land bases.  I.e. sinking the ammo ship that's with the fleet would have the same effect on planes launching from the fleet as killing the ammo bunker at a base would have for planes launching from that base.

After cargo ships (Liberty freighters and tankers, I hope), I'd like to see an honest-to-gosh battleship.  To go along with that, I'd like to see a real damage model for ships, such that you could disable/destroy selective systems on a ship, such as radar, individual guns, etc.

I agree, just think that to make a CV look a bit different would be much easier, and could be done fairly quick.

To design a new type of vessel with new functionality, would take ALOT more time, but could of course be done in the future. :D

Just think it would be nice to have something japanese for Phillipines TOD. :)
