Title: Mr.Show - worth the DVD?

I don't get HBO so could I get some reviews on the sketch comedy show, Mr. Show?

Modern Humorist is recommending it and the reviewers seem to think it's another Monty Python or Kids in the Hall.

I'd hate to spend $30 on the first & second season DVD and find out it's an Arliss.

Isn't that the show that had Tenacious D originally?  If that's the case then I would buy it.
