There's a guy here in austin that has the same name as me, spelling and all. I had an email run in with him a couple of years ago.
Anyway, my dad calls yesterday to see if im ok. An old friend of his had called yesterday morning crying saying how she couldn't believe I died at such a young age. Turns out this guy came up missing yesterday in Houston (where I was raised). So today my parents have been getting calls from ALL of my old friends all crying.
So if you know me in real life, I'm not dead :) thank God!!!

Man, I can't imagine how wierd that would be...I know my mom would freak out if she read something like that...
She'd probably just call me tho and make sure I wasn't dead hehehe.
So..........did you kill him?

No way man! I'd be too scared to do that. That might lead to some sort of wierd star trek thingy, like when there's 2 captain kirks and if one kills the other they both die.

You can always tell the cops you were just trying to commit suicide :D
"honest officer it was self offense!!"

I grew up with a guy named Quin Hennesy.
A few years after high school graduation I read that he was killed in a shoot out with the police. I didn't think he was that type... Turned out to be a different guy, same name and same area of town!

Dammit! I had one of my employees come into my office just before I read this post. She was giving me funny looks as I tried desperately to keep a straight face. :D

About 10 years ago my Dad started receiving phone calls one night about midnight. Turns out some guy with the same name was killed in a car accident earlier in the evening in some horrible crash and it was on the news. Everyone was calling to see if it was him. He said the phone didn't stop ringing until about 0300. At least it's good to know that folks care about you. :)

damn.. i told that hitman to take down the address... stupid people, can't do anything right :)

Any reports of Terminators from the future in the Houston area? ;)
Maybe Udie is destined to lead the great Republican revolution.
-
I figured you guys would get a kick out of this, and yes I know it saddens some of you that it's not me
Tahgut,
That would be a very bad idea for me to lead the revolution. But I will volunteer to lead the marijuana round up runs. You know we have to get that stuff off the street, and I think I'm the perfect person to perform that task. I'd be smokin at it ;)

I got the wrong guy?
-
update w/ good news :)
I just heard on the radio that they found the guy in a hotel in Houston. He suffers from temporary amnesia. Go figure, who'd a thought that we share more in common than the name ;)
-
Must be selling that good Humboldt County sens down in Houston. ;)
-
I saw the news on it and it weirded me out to, then I read the details. He was a few years younger and was MARRIED! Knew right then it wasn't you :)
Don't think udie knows about girls yet. :)

hell you'd a been proud of me last saturday night :D 5 LOUD screams and 45 minutes of moaning with her eyes rolled back in her head.
but I digress....

Udie, there is a guy here in Austin with my exact same name and middle inital. He is a pastor, and, evidently, a very bad credit risk, going by the calls I get. We won't even talk about the late night calls from parishoners(all ladies, oddly enough) who need "counseling", in the worst way.
I want to win the lotto for one reason and one reason alone: When I pick up the check, I will use my name and HIS wife's for the press release, just to repay him for the telephonic annoyances of the past 10 years.

Heh, maybe so. This thread is getting harder to follow than Memento...
