Title: GeForce 3 and FSAA?
Post by: Wanker on May 18, 2002, 10:55:05 AM
Hi guys, I have a Gainward GeForce 3 card(first generation) and was wondering if this card will do FSAA in AH.

If so, how do I enable it for AH?

Thanks!

not sure about the specifics of the GF3, but goto
http://www.geforcetweak.com and u should be able to find all
the info there.
Also, there is a geforce tweak utilitiy there that u can download
that will allow u to enable fsaa.
(fsaa cost me about 20 fps with a gf2 mx)

Using  GF3 TI500 i much prefer to run at 1600x1200 res with no FSAA.
If your monitor can support it give it a try the dials etc in the cockpit will be much clearer without FSAA.

FSAA = 3D antialiasing.  Its an option under display properties.

Thanks guys! I'm now running 1280x1024x32 with 2x FSAA. Can't believe the difference that makes. I did take a fps hit of about 10-15 fps, but I'm still in the high 50's-low 60's, so it's still silky smooth.

Can't believe I didn't realize I hadn't enabled FSAA a long time ago!
