Title: CH Pro Peddles - Racing Configuration
Post by: Otto on May 19, 2002, 10:50:24 AM
I’ve reached my intellectual peak.   I’m now sliding down the backside.   I have tried for a month to configure my CH Pro Peddles(USB) into a Racing setup with heel/toe Throttle and Brake but I just can’t make it work.   I'm using the CH Control Manager that came with the hardware.
My only defense is CH’s documentation; they never seem to mention it.

Can someone ‘throw me a bone…’?     Thanks…..

the toe brakes become the gas and brake...

X axis throttle, y axis brake... (or vice versa, can't remember off hand been awhile+)

Not sure what the problem might be... I do not use CH control manager.. its not needed at least for me.  I use the pedals with my logitech ff wheel in games that support enough axes.
GPL and N2002, Rally Trophy do...

The pedals came with a couple of plastic pieces which u set in the slides to stop the push pull motion of the pedals.  Tho i've yet to bother with those.

SKurj,

When I read that you were using the Ch Peddles as 'stand alone' hardware it got me thinking.  One of the options the Control Manager gives you is to 'Daisy Chain' all the CH compoents into one virtual controller.   That's the way I had it setup for AH and FS2002.
When I 'un-chain' everything and just used the Fighterstick and the Peddles I got everything working fine except it's the slider function and not heel/toe like I really want.   That maybe just a matter of chosing the correct axis from the CM.  I will have to experiment some more.
Bottom line....    A big SALUTE from Otto.   Thanks....

it also depends on the game OTTO, some don't support dual axis

I think if the racing game doesn't support dual axis your ch pedals are useless...
