The BK's just moved to the knights after a lengthy stay with the rooks. Gave several 6 calls to fellow knights and they just kept right on going and, needless to say, got whacked.
It was very prevalent. We were talking about it on vox and all BK's noticed it.
If you don't want check 6 calls, just let us know. We won't waste our time.
BTW, the knights should change country name to DmdMaw. Man, they are everywhere, lol.

Thats one thing I noticed Apache. Knitwits dont seem to pay attention nor give check 6's and it gets frustrating sometimes.
-
Sorry Apache but the Knight pilots who would check 6 have all left for the CT.
-
I don't think he was worried about those three guys anyway.

Don't know where you were flying last nite, Apache, but I was in the A3, A4 area and gave check 6 calls till my fingers bled, rec'd several myself. Can't speak for the rest of the Knights, but if you are flying in an area that I and the 479th are in, you will receive check 6 calls, and we will appreciate any that we get.
and welcome to Knightland!

uhhh doesn't it mean that you should remove your head from your butt and look around?
:D

bah who needs 6 calls, theres always another plane waiting for me at the hanger.:D
-
heh Apache i have noticed this quite abit too... give a check6 and watch the guy fly straight and level.....
but hey, all u can do is send it(once) ..

Its not a Knit exclusive thing. I saw the exact same thing from the Bish yesterday. Give a 6 call... 1 out of 10 takes evasives. Got a 6 call for about 1 out of 10 times someone tried to bounce me.
The truly pathetic part is trying to figure out which one of the six low bish engaging one Zeke to give a six call to when a P-51 is zooming in.
Trust me... it happens on every side.

you may have to thank Joe for this :)
He was a knit after all. Getting over 100 check 6s fer kill stealing may make alot of folks delete the check 6 wav :)
-
BKs are knights now? cool deal. :)
yeah, most people I give chk 6's to just keep doing what they're doing. I think they think I mean that I'm going to have their 6 cleared in a matter of seconds... *shrug*

Apache,
I usually don't give check 6 call, most of time seems is spent toggling to get right plane. I do however almost always use the Range Voice & give a call to the pilot giving him warning and the type of plane coming in.
By the way, it was fun having you fly in the same area yesterday. While not directly winging with you, it was fun to have someone who was willing to work together while fighting the same enemy plane.

You can't receive check6 calls after you squelch someone can you?

When you log in for the first time does AH put you randomly into
a country or into Knight.. Thats where it put me when I started
and I would do the same thing until I got shot down several times and finally said DUH thats whats that's for.......

Its practically impossible to give check 6 calls in a furball without using vox (which i don't due to bugs and poor quality)
Tis a shame we have to come up with different methods because some other game did it using a method that makes more sense...(mouseclick) Perhaps there are other issues with coding, (tho i doubt that)

seems very prevalent with the rooks...
I can only count on six calls from my squaddies.
-
I try to be careful when I give out a "Check 6" call. I've had a few kill-opportunities spoiled because someone gives me a Check 6 on a bandit that is on my 12 and I'm in a firing position on and so I maneuver around to look behind me to see no one and lose my shot. Or I'm maneuvering and I'm trying to cycle through all the aircraft in the sky to give a Check 6 call to only get the wrong person, upsetting his kill shot and making him mad. I guess you have to take it with a grain of salt when you get a Check 6 call. I do try to use the Range Voice though when I can.
-
Apache,
This is probably because the Knights have certain presonality traits and social demographics that are different than everyone else. I'm sure there's a scientific study about this somewhere.
Muhahaha :D
(sticks tongue in cheek)

I think there must be a "check six etiquette";)
I mean, no doubt that if I gave a check 6 is my intention to help a mate, but throwing check six, as soon as I see an enemy plane in range is worse than not givin it , maybe.
In furball situation is very hard give correct C6 , and who receives it may loose precious time, if they are not correctly related to his situation.
Maybe the use of AH voice can help to be more precise?

6 calls are a luxury. If I get shot down it's ultimately my own fault. If someone calls my 6 I don't mind, but I haven't come to expect it.
-
Sorry Apache but the Knight pilots who would check 6 have all left for the CT.
I still give Check six... if i can
Furballs i try my best to, i may even give out a check six to the wrong guy 2 times to only give another guy a check 6
I dont see to many check six from any one on knights. o well

It's not wise to depend on others for your SA.

You are just bait, If I bother to give you a check 6, you're just going to drag my target into wild evasives. Can't have that.

I'm a six call giver, and make it a point to thank six calls too...
Unless I'm a ball of flame
Noticed not to many "ty" for six calls around here. No matter.
I tend to listen to six calls simply because I made my own wav. for six calls...
Cranked to 100 in the sound settings...
YOUR ABOUT TO DIE YOU F**KING IDIOT !!!
Get's the point across ;)

If I'm that slow in my pony that I need a 6 call I deserve to get shot down :) I'll give a six call if I can get a freindly in a view I can use with the button on my stick but otherwise your on your own.

I think most folks try to give a check 6 to fellow simmers, even those that look upon fellow knights as enemy dragging devices.
I know I have had my bacon saved (at least for a little while) by guys giving me the six call both in the MA and in the CT. It isn't perfect, when you are in the head of battle I sometimes forget to hit the check six button but I do try and I know others do to.
Don't take it too personal, we all are having our problems.

I tried to give a check six call to some guy with a curse word in his handle the other night, and the system warned me against using foul language. He was probably wondering why nobody was giving him six calls.

You must mean F**kman. I shot him down the other day and considered sending him a . But, then I thought better of it for the reason you describe. Other examples of useless handles are the guys who choose numerical names, such as 775231. How do you give him a verbal warning? I don't know about you, but I find it hard enough to remember PIN numbers....
My regards,

I appreciate all 6 calls. I try to give them also. I have recieved check 6 calls when I missing half a wing. Its hard enough to keep her flying much less any evasives. I gotta check 6 yesterday and heard me being called an idiot for not listening. When my kite was glider and I am 200ft off the surf. So its not always a not listening as much as a I cant do sh*t it about it.
