upper, looks like British 250lb GP/HE bomb

lower, Grandslam

From first picture, it's an english bomb, but not 250lb. How on earth did you figure out it's english!?! From the haircut of the guy? :D

Second is right, it's 22.000 lb (!!) Grand Slam. 41 were dropped by the Lancasters.

Actually, guy's trousers gave it away. :D

Seriously, ring around those balancers and that pointed nose/detonator...differs pretty much when you compare it to US GP bombs for example.

They are British 1000lbs bombs. 217.640 were dropped between 1942 and 1945.
I was amazed to see how big bomb it was! It doesn't feel like a big one in AH lancaster's belly :)
