Title: Ernie Pyle

Just got finished watching a show about Ernie Pyle on the History Channel.  They said he died in Ie Shim, just West of Okinawa.  I spent a couple of days on Ie Shima in 1996 and remember seeing some kind of granite memorial.  To the best of my recolection this was for Ernie Pyle, can anyone verify this?
