No.

Yes,
They can defend us with a gun, they just aren't allowed to look for one. duh!

I find this type of inconsistency completely consistent with the way our government is run.

That's simple
The non citizen soliders are surrounded/outnumbered by armed US citizen soliders :)

LOL. True... :)

Americans can join foreign militaries (Lafeyette Escadrille, Eagle Squadons) so why not funny lookin' forigners in our military? Might give the GIs something to laugh at - or maybe some frenchie could eludicate the finer points of wearing a beret....: þ

John, not only drinking but voting back in my day when the voting age was 21. We were fit to fight but not fit to drink OR vote. There was alot of resistance to lowering the voting age to 18 from the Republicans because they didn't want this sudden influx of voters to tip the scale in favor of the Liberals and lose power.
Now though after dealing with people every day I think the minimum voting age should be 50. I'd prefer letting those important issues of our lives be handled by people with maturity and life experience rather than by some snot nosed 18 year old burger flipper who can't speak English... or some 30 year old hillbilly from Alabama...or some 20 something smart bellybutton kid from Maryland...

Priceless. :)
