Please? I do not care if it is perked, just as long as we get the c130.
-
 :D
you will get it on release 119.99 ... but you will prolly be in a retirement home somwhere in Florida drinking your food and having nurses changing your dipers every hour.
:p
-
No stinking C-130 unless its the AC-130 :p
-
Yeah, maybe HTC can start working on
AH:Vietnam
I bet that wouldn't be a sign that Aces High is about to die, and HTC doesn't want to compete in the WWII FS market

no c-130's in WW2.....BTW did you know the first 747 flew in 1968?
-
didn't concorde and sr71 first fly in the late 60's?

no c-130's in WW2
Sometimes realism must be sacraficed for gameplay--John Romero
I think we can learn a lesson from the master of game development right here. Gameplay must come before realism in games. If the game is not fun, the historical accuracy does not really matter because no one will play it (no, im not talking about this game, im talking hypothetically)
-
How would a C-130 help game play? it isn't even reasonable
-
 Are you really seriouis? If we get a C130 I wanna Xwing, some tie fighters a sopwith camel and a b-52! Or at least a Gloster Gladiator? :D ...
-
cajun, is the tie fighter a bi-plane?
-
yes because tanks are so uber now that being able to drop them near a field instead of climbing a 5 mile hill straight up would be game destroying
Gimme a break guys. Its a c130, not a freaking xwing. Tanks suck now anyways, might as well give tanks SOME hope of being fun/useful in terms of gameplay
I would not even care if it was unarmed, as long as tanks could actually GO SOMEWHERE in this game.
A plane sim is fine, but HTC saiad this was a MMOG, so start balancing it like it is one instead of a flight sim (or change the website htc, because its wrong to take people's money without giving them a MMOG, but instead giving them a flight sim with some useless gvs here and there)

wow:eek:
-
I aggree Sikboy...
WOW
-
I want the A6 Intruder
-
I had to come back and read this post again - then I showed my wife and she laughed too.
-
I will say this - having a heavy cargo transport would be interesting and it did happen in ww2

No you know the tiefighters on Starwars (first 3 movies).
PS. The C130 is totally unacceptable! It wasnt even in testing stage untill about 10-20 years AFTER WWII and is still being used today!! Gameplay should come first yes, but this is totally unacceptable, I mean might as well have f-14's flyin around shootin missiles at the "old" ww2 planes.
Now if we had a Aces High on the gulfwar or somethin it would be acceptable because it was at least the right time frame. But A c-130 in WW2??? No Way!...
Though that does give you the idea: Maybe if Aces High went from WW1 to the modern day? and had ww1, ww2, veitnam arenas etc?? then you could have c-130s and stuff, but the C130 just couldnt fit in WW2...
I know I want biplanes but at least they were used a good deal in WW2 some were even used through out the whole war even in late war, but C130 is just too far into the future.

1. Airborne tank insertion capabilities.
2. Biplane (for cajun :))

A Gigant or Tatzlewurm (sp.?) would be more appropriate for dropping off small GV's.
as to a C-130, LOL!

C-130: 417 mph/362 ktas (Mach 0.59) at 22,000 feet (6,706 meters)
I dont think so;)
-

-
Relax folks
We will never get a c130 :D

MMOG = Massive Multiplayer Online Game
Where does it say that it can't be a flight sim? Doesn't an arena with 550 people indicate that it's an MMOG? Doesn't the name Aces High give you a clue that it's meant to be a flight sim?
I'd be ROFL if it wasn't for the fact that I pity you so much...
P.S. Have you ever seen a C130 carry a tank? No, didn't think so.
-
C130s can carry light tanks.
-
yes it can
C130s can carry light tanks and APC's
So... in theory it COULD sertanly carry the M3 or M16.
BTW.. this thread is pretty dumb
The c130 wil NEVER come to AH, and why RoyofCA started this post and calls the tanks for "uber" is beyond me
If you think that climbing a hill for 5miles is so bad... then don't do it.
I'm actually surprised and feel kinda stupid for eaven bothering with this thread at all :p
-
500 people is massive?
LoL....ok guys.....

The lesson to learn from John Romero is that do nothing dweebs waste millions of dollars and don't deliver squat.
But I bet even John would say you an idiot to want a 1950s plane in a ww2 game.
-
I liked that reply Pongo :)
-
ok, ok, you can't have the c130.
But how about a graf zeppelin? (Oh god that would be fun to strafe)
Or a spruce goose?
-
how about an AWACS ?
could be usefull when dar is down :D
-
Come on spit out the hook..
