Right now if you land on an enemy airfield (or exit a GV at an enemy field) you get "You have landed successfully". However, if you ditch inside enemy territory, you get "You have been captured" not "You have ditched", same with bailing.
Any chance of having any exit flight in enemy territory counting as "captured"? (exception being landing on friendly CVs that are behind "enemy lines")

One of my favorite things to do in AH is to land at a hot enemy base. When I am out of ammo and closer to a de-acked enemy base, I almost always try to land right under their noses. Most of the time I get killed, but the few times that I make it makes it all worth while.
One time Jarbo and I took off in 109Fs, climbed for two minutes, and then the server said that the war was over. I looked at the map and we were 100 miles deep in enemy territory after the rotation, with an arena reset onlt 5 minutes away. So, we did a 180, WEPped downhill to the base that we just took off from, de-acked it, and landed just in the nick of time.
Hitech, please keep this "unrealistic" feature!
I love it for gameplay purposes.

Then make it a CM toggle for the SEA. We kinda want to have an accurate depiction of who is being a "traitor" and turning over their aircraft to the enemy and surrendering! :D

Just make someone landing at an enemy base change country automatically :)

I love this feature too :)

Why? Just the novelty of it? Just asking.

Mostly the challenge and the humor of it.
I've scissored toward enemy bases with one or even multiple cons on my six, dumped the flaps, chopped the throttle, scrubbed all remaing speed to stall speed, and set it down gear up, forcing an overshoot, skidded to a stop and .ef .
Pull one of those off and you will be laughing about it for days!
I also am impatient. On occasion, I used to auger when there were no cons around, instead of flying home. I hate to fly home, so this gives everyone a quicker and more challenging alternative.

This is gamey.. and is the vultures dream. Many regulars use it.
I too would like to see it fixed.

I must admit, I've used this feature, but it is quite GAMEY.
I would rather see captured.
By the same token, I would rather see "Landed Successfully" with in a logical distance from a friendly field.
Rolling off the runway 10 ft after landing a deadstick bird should not warant a ditch.
In RL, I'd get out and push the old girl up to the hangar with the crew and buy them a tankard of ale. Hardly a ditch.

Recently if I have been forced to ditch in enemy teritory I find that as well (I think) as the you have been capturedmessage some one has been awarded a kill on me.................
Well this seems as it should be given that this fella may have crippled me enough to force the ditch.......... but it seems new to me............
anyone?
