Title: Pyro....Slipper D/Ts on Spit V ?
Post by: RAS on May 28, 2002, 07:59:04 AM: Hiya Pyro.....just wanted to throw out a reminder as 1.10 is being produced and worked on. A long time back, I believe it was version 1.05 you had talked about putting a "small slipper" tank on the Spit V. It didn't make it into that update so anticipated it might come in 1.06. After version 1.06 came and went with no Slipper thought I would ask about it and I asked too late to see it in version 1.07. So thought it would come in 1.08....it came and went, but no Slipper. I then thought perhaps in 1.09, but didn't send a reminder note (or question about it) and 1.09 came and went without the lil ole slipper.

Soooooo....thought I would ask if a slipper tank for the SpitV was still being thought about or if you scrubbed the idea. As you can see I am quite patient about such things, but was curious and thought if you had forgotten about it maybe a quick note like this would be a reminder. I recognize there are alot more important issues confronting you guys in 1.10, but ifluff'n you could let us know that would be appreciated.

It has a very short range compared to her sister spitfires and DT's would be ideal for the 1.5 fuel burn rate in the MA.

Like, whenever it drops too far, post a message asking "So, anyone else have an opinion?" or "btw, I found this pic of what the tank looked like (w/ a pic)".

I never realized all you had to do was keep posting 'punts'.

And as for "faking" a reason to post it here, it is not necessary....the "reason" it is posted can be found in original post. As soon as an answer is given I will stop punting it up. The "punt" is to keep it from getting buried so far down that Pyro never "see's" the post.

Thank you for your "opinion" about the post though !!!

Really didn't think this post was such a big bother to be honest. Thanks for the advice Mr Fork.

False, versions of the Fw190A5 and Fw190A8 also had provision for them

and the use of droptanks for teh F8 would be accurate. As would be racsk for wing 250kg bombs.

I do believe that back a few versions...1.7 the reply was nearly the same.
How difficult is it to add a drop tank?
