...my 262 dies by auto take off.
Great work on the coding HTC. Thank you for the warning about the faulty auto takeoff too.
I really like losing 200 perks because of something that HTC can't fix. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.:D
-
Roy...if you couldnt beat the 3 Billy Goats...give it up man...give it up.;)
-
If ya cant afford to lose em, dont use em!!
:)
I flew a jet once. Took off, got a kill, landed. Boring!
-
Roy,
I doubt it's the coding.
Either you took off towards a mountain, your throttle wasn't at full, or your joystick spiked.
Test it offline.
I've never seen auto-take-off fail.

You use 'Auto Takeoff'!?!?!?!
That's for seven year olds......
-
If you need auto-takeoff, maybe you shouldn't be flying the 262 yet.
Seriously...
-
Simulations dont have auto-takeoff!
Do they?.................
-
More likely he took the plane off got a good climb going and then hit auto climb...
can be deadly in a 262....
-
There is a bug somewhere in auto takeoff... I too have had takeoffs in several planes from typhs to goons to 190's botched by what feels like a stuck left wheel brake.
I posted this long ago in bug reports but it still exists.
can't force its appearance either

You gotta love how everyone makes excuses for the devs.
Even if those excuses are stupid as hell and make absolutely no sense (I was using a 262 people...don't you think I checked mountains, etc before taking off? what are you people retarded or just plain in denial that AH is a buggy game?).
I think the devs just need to fix the bugs in their game before they start adding anything else.
-
i think u cheated.. but it went all wrong
-
And yes, I used auto-takeoff.
I was told it worked. Guess I didn't know Ah was full of it. My bad.
-
I wouldnt know if theres a bug in auto takeoff. I have never even tried auto takeoff. It defeats the purpose of pretending Im flying :D
If there IS a bug in auto takeoff Id say get rid of auto takeoff and bug problem solved
-
Well I might be out of line here...
But auto take-off ??
Come on..
I've discovered that ANY time you fly a perked plane your going to die very shortly. It's "Bad Mojo" bad "vibes"...
But to take off a perked plane WITH TRAINING WHEELS ???
MY GOD MAN, HAVE YOU NO SHAME ????
-
Rude, I nominate this one for "Whine of the Tard" award.
-
RoyofCA, ya trolling again? :D
Really, I say this for the following reasons:
1. If you really wanted this fixed, you would get a film of it, e-mailed it to the support desk or posted a thread on the BUG Report Forum (for the purpose of this forum is not to report bugs)
2. Posting such a message here is asking for responses in the nature of my reason 3. :D
3. If you had enough perk points to get an Me262, then you must have enough experience to take off manually. Taking off under the automatic take off feature without getting immersed into the simulation is beyond me.
-
second Tac's nomination
-
Rude?
-
nopoop's right. Bug or no, you were wrong to take any chances with a perk plane. If there's a bug in AH (and there are plenty), if there's a glitch in the internet (netstorms occur every three hours), it will hit you when you're in a perk plane. More Perk planes are lost to connection issues and bugs than to enemy action.
Besides why would you need auto-takeoff? If you've played AH long enough to get 200 perk points, you've played long enough to set up a beer fridge by the PC. End of discussion.
-
i've never, ever, ever, once, had a problem with auto takeoff in anything...
must've been something else....
-
ROTFL! That's even funnier than the occasion of my losing my first ever perked plane, the more so because you're daft enough to be claiming to be angry about it, Roy0fCA.
What happened to me was that after pootling aound in bombers and C47's long enough, I eventually got enough perkies to fly the Ar234 in the MA. "Wahay!", thought I "NOW try and catch me, y'Pony/N1K1/Spit-loving fighter dweebs!". Understand, I like the Ar234 because it's a thoroughly nice plane to fly, and because it's also a change from the Ju88 (hint - more LW bomber types, please! ;-) ), and because it'd be nice to be flying something in the MA where I could almost - ALMOST - guarantee my own suvival if I flew intelligently in it. It's not my plance of choice, though, I prefer prop aircraft.
Took off at base away from action. Climbed out over water, away from action to grab alt. Started heading for enemy territory, still climbing at an altitude where I'd have plenty of options if I spotted enemy. Spotted enemy, and here my cunning strategy got let down by misjudgment and a bad decision. I certainly should have put my nose down to gain speed, and didn't. I probably should have turned a different direction than I did ("the OTHER left!"). What followed was classic...
... I got gunned down by a newly-minted Bf110. And laughed my socks off and congratulated my assailant about it, too.
My SECOND perk-pane loss (also an Ar234) was due to a disco.
One of the joys of flying the early jets is learning how to nurse them off the deck and up where they are most at home. I can't imagine even wanting to use autotakeoff with them. And RoyofCA, if you KNEW about the autotakeoff bug, then you KNEW you might fall foul of it if you couldn't be bothered to take off manually. I mean, c'MON, effectively no engine torque-induced swing, tricycle undercarriage and a beautiful view from the cockpit...
....

Congradulations RoyofCa, you have fully established yourself as a classic squeaker&Complainer.
-
Not making excuses but why da hell do you use auto takeoff?
-
Hmmm,...there is a right way and a wrong way to post a problem.
1) If you want the issue resolved, you provide enough detailed information so the developers can reproduce the problem. If they cannot reproduce it, it cannot be "fixed". This is the correct way to report a problem.
2) Ranting or complaining about something and not providing any information about the exact nature of what lead up to the so called "bug" will not get anything resolved and will possibly make the reportee look like someone who is more than happy to just complain. This is garanteed to get pretty much ignored by any resonable developer.
My question to you RoyofCA. Would you like a resolution to the problem or not? If you do, then post all the information you can to the Bug forum that lead up to the "bug". I will also tell you, there is no way you can report enough information about a "bug". The more you have, the better.
Developers are not mind readers, nor or they standing over your shoulder watching you. It is up to you to post any and all information in order for a developer to reproduce the error.
What you posted here is not going to get any issue you have resolved and lastly, the people that work on this project have a genuine care and concern about the quality of thier work. If capable, you could show a modicum of respect in this regard.
It will also go a long way to getting issues resolved.

I would say this is a better troll than the C-130 nonsense. While the C-130 post had you bring John Romero in as an expert witness (a guy who has demons and plasma guns, testifying about "realism" lol).
This one evokes much more knee jerk reaction, since you attack HTC and the game. Plus, many of us have never had a problem with Auto-takeoff (except for coaxing a heavy hog off the deck). It has emotion as well as an overall lack of sense. A robust troll. While I prefer a subtler flavor, this is a refreshing chang up from the "perk that whatever" trolls.

"Plus, many of us have never had a problem with Auto-takeoff "
And that's the truth! Then again 80% of us fall within the optimum part of the bell curve ;)
Regardless. It takes many grains of sand to make a beach. ;)

what is auto take off ?
-
Hi RoyOfCA!
I have had some problems too with auto take off. And that
is because the brakes still apply when no other movement
does. And id you, by mistake, give for instance the left brake
a little touch, tha plane goes out of hand.
I've learned the hard way to take my foot of the pedals when
taking off.
Is this a feature or a bug? ;)

Auto-take off can't killl u LOL! RoyofCA you probably hit auto-climb straight after take-off so your plane will violently pitch down for some speed and smash into the runway. I did this today but luckily i recovered hehehe:D

I wonder what his next whine will be? :( Hmm....maybe the Bottle of Jack in F4U-4 should be full huh? You're a tool. You never should have posted this you know? I can't wait to hear your next one, these posts are like vintage wine, they get better. Instead of ripping on HTC, please leave, you'll do yourself and all of us a favor.
Masher
Auto-Climb at Take-off, the ONLY time I use it, is when I'm TO and need to grab a beer! You crashed. Ha.
RUDE, wake your bellybutton up and nominate this one :p

Me too--
and, sorry about that Arado. :D

(you were a great sport about it!)

if you didn't crash with the girlie auto takeoff, You'd overspeed into the gnd or nearest mountain.
HTC did you a favor
:D
-
If he uses auto takeoff...........he should crash.

"what are you people retarded"
No RoyofTard... I think your comments speak for themselves as to who is really the retard.
You loose your two-six-two and now you want to whine that it was not your fault.
What's really the problem?
Did mommy not change your diaper today?
