Title: Buff dot idea.. what do u think?

Have friendly buffs appear as a blue dot on radar.  

Upside... help team protect them.

Downside... spies dream.  AWACish.

the blue would have to be bright to not blend in with H2o.

whaddyathink?

HT mentioned something while he was on a few days ago doesn't have to do with friendly buffs only though but ALL buffs above a certain alt say 15 or 20k will show up on dot dar no matter where they are on the map they may be shown as a different icon or maybe a bigger dot they're still working on it. different color for friendly buffs i don't think will work coz no one likes escorting unless it's a mission or friend/squadmate.

I am not for that!  I'll wait for official word before I light the flamethrower however.

I'm sure there are others like me that like to help out friendly buffs.

kudos to you really...it's hard to find buff escorts, but you're by far in the minority.

as a pilot in the Fighter Wing of the C-Hawks in AW, my primary job was one of escort. we took alot of pride in getting the Bomber
Wing to the target and back.

i kinda consider myself a professional escort pilot. i'm not a furballer. escorting requires a different mindset and different tactics. fuel, ammo and energy management.

i'm looking foward to the increased role of buffs in the game. i see opportunities to coordinate efforts, work as a 'combined arms team' to acomplish strategic goals.....and to kill bish-dweeb-luftwobble interceptors. :D
