Tour of Duty, (TOD) is a weekly historical event that takes place in the Special Events Arena (SEA) on Friday nights at 11 PM Eastern. Each tour will last 3 or 4 weeks, (3 or 4 frames). Squads who are participating in the TOD will fly Axis or Allied for that Tour. At the end of the Tour most squads will switch sides. Each squad that signs up will supply a member of their squad who is willing to be a C.O. one frame of a Tour. Frame C.O.'s will be given a list of missions for their squads to fly and they are to contact the squads prior to the frame to inform them of their mission. Success of your squads mission during a frame will often have a direct affect on how successful other squads are in their particular mission. Let there be no doubt the success or failure of your squads mission can have a "domino" affect on your brothers in arms.
Did you all enjoy Big Week? If so you'll love TOD. While it may be too late to register your squad to be in this tour, its not too late to fly as a "guest" with one of the registered squads to test the water.
3. Guests:
Unassociated pilots, (those from non participating squads) will be allowed to participate in the event in order to give them a feel of what the TOD is all about.
Unassociated pilots will be provided a list of squadrons and their email contacts. They can apply for one of the 2 "guest" spots that each squadron holds. It is entirely up to the squadron CO. He will accept or reject such an application or request from guest pilots.
If guest is accepted into the squadron for the TOD, in the eyes of TOD crew he is a part of this squadron, and the CO of his squadron will be held responsible for this guest's actions/behavior.
Pilots can be "guests" for only one TOD, (usually 3 or 4 weeks). After that TOD is over, they may either join one of the TOD participating squadrons or form their own squadron

To contact a squad about joining as a guest goto the TOD (http://events.simladder.com/tod.php) web page and on the bottom left side there is a list of participating squads. Click pn the squad you wish to join and email their CO.

Luftwaffe Squads may also want to consider the new Saturday afternoon TOD's. (3pm U.S. EST) So far we have quite a few Allied registered, but not too many Axis.
