Title: Scenario tonight, 4 + 10 PM EST: Flying Circuis
Post by: Zigrat on August 30, 2000, 09:47:00 AM
OK both 4pm and 10pm times are back on because of new info.

SETUP
-----

The RAF has just taken delivery of brand new Spitfire Mk. IXs, and they are eager to try them in combat versus their german opponents. It is hoped by fighter command that the Luftwaffe will be caught unaware by the new more powerful breed of spitfires. The new airframes are just now taking delivery, though, so half the allied forces wil be comprrised of the slower but more manouverable spitfire V.

Forces - Allied
---------------
12 Spit IX .303 MG 100% gas
12 Spit V 100% gas

Axis
-----
12 Bf-109 F4 1 hub 20mm 100% gas
12 FW-190 a5 4 2 MG FF 100% gas

There is a forum for announcing scenarios.  Use it!

Is there a write up for this event?  Fighters vs. fighters?  What is the goal?

So, in light of Udie's ummm...anyway (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif), is the 10pm EST scenario back on?  I wanna fly, but these bastiges at work have some sort of problem with me going home at 1 o'clock PST just to 'play some game'.  Go figure?!?

I know Verm. I was pointing out the error that this scenario was going to conflict with the TOD as posted by Udie, when today is only Wednesday  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Zigrat what is the objective for each side?

I'm not objecting to you posting here, but when I'm trying to schedule events for my squad, I look in the events announcement forum.  And when people in the arena or who are new to the game ask me where to find events schedules, I send them there too.  It's a lot easier than having to scan the general forum.

Objective #1. Kill Enemy Fighters.
Objective #2. Don't Die.
Objective #3. Get Drunk.

Objectives #1 & #2 can be superceeded by Objective #3 if you feel compelled to slap FDB after you're name  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

The buff got lost. He did part 3 first and went East instead of West. It is hoped he will develop a taste for Vodka instead of schnapps.    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

I'd like to put my vote in to let Funked fly a bomber into the fray!  How 'bout it Zig?   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I believe funked is right.  A circus needs a couple of bombers to get the LW up and to bait.

I flew it and it was fun.  My fears were not not confirmed.  The organizers used good mission plans to make sure nothing silly happened.

Circuses were pretty big, and often the Germans were engaged before they found the handful of bombers amidst the sea of Spits, so I guess we were in that part of a Circus.   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
