Actually we saw the parts broken or not broken, due graphic art limitation we dont see the real effect of the hits on our plane until a part is gone. But what about showing the % of damage for each part pressing CTRL D instead of just showing them red or green?
An example of heavy damage on right wing area, without right aileron nor right gear:
CTRL-D ->
...
Left wing: 0% (green)
Left aileron: 0% (green)
Left flap: 0% (green)
Left gear: 0% (green)
Right wing: 95% (orange)
Right aileron: 100% (red)
Right flap: 90% (orange)
Right gear: 100% (red)
...
That means that, probably, one more hit or a violent move and the entire right wing will fall apart.
