im curious as to how I died to a pt boat that pinged me with 1 50cal while I was flying at 500mph at 15k.

there was no flak bursts just one loud bang then i was in the tower.

i am confused

I'm almost certain it was the 1 shot insta death flak from the cv.

I just flew a sortie in ayak to intercept a ju88 and my own 88mm field acks killed me with one shot and sent me back to the tower in the same manner. this time a ju88 got the kill instead of a pt boat.

CV flak is just silly, I got one ping killed 24k alt through heavy cloud?  CV AA guns must be radar controlled?

[Twice in the last couple days I've seen the tails sections fly off planes for no apparent reason.  No joke and no I wasn't drunk or on drugs   :) .  The first time I thought it was a goof on my part and hadn't seen what I thought I did, plane was a Typhoon I think.  

Well, that's historical realism for you!  ;)

Well not with the IIB, IIB was reinforced with metal fishplate in the tail.  Your thinking of the earlier tiffie model which occasionally would lose the rear fuselage due to severe vibration.
