How are self-sealing tanks modelled?

well most jap  planes did not have this...I think none of them


And HTC does model this...when ever u hear those hits..but dont get dmage..consider those self sealing hits:)..ll0l0ol0

For N1K2-J, in ISBN4-576-95141-6 ShidenKai and its Data on its 99 Mysteries, pages 56-57, armoured fuel tanks were used (not all though), and it carried CO2 gas tanks for Automatic Fire Extinguisher System (pages 15-16)

Zero had no protection as far as I recall, therefore it was called the one shot lighter.  In AH, it catches fire quite easily.

A6M5c and on had self sealing fuel tanks.  A6M5b may have had some, but I don't recall.

The Ki-67 had self sealing fuel tanks.

The Ki-44, Ki-84, H8K2 "Emily", G4M3 "Betty", B6N, B7A, ect, ect all had self sealing fuel tanks.

Only the early war Japanese aircraft are underbuilt and unprotected, and even then not all of the follow that rule.  Mid-late war Japanese aircraft are very much like every other nation's.
