O'Brien scores in the 3rd minute!!!  we're up 1-0 over Portugal!!!  match is in the 10th minute right now.

It was a good goal - but portugal are playing like schoolboys at the back. The US are looking solid.

I'm supporting the US for this one, BTW. But it ain't over til it's over... :)

Let me take this opportunity to remind you that England were 2-0 up against Portugal in Euro 2000 and managed to lose 2-3. Although that was a much better playing Portuguese side.

Hehehe. The Portuguese are going to come out strongly.

But I hope the US don't defend too deep, inviting the Portuguese to keep battering away at them. If they avoid doing that and keep as solid as they were in the first half, they might just do it. :)

Exactly, they need to stay with the game plan, and not fall back on the the 2 goal lead.  But I have a bad feeling.

It's an online football management game - the best out there I think. It only costs a few euros to play too - and there is a free trial 'arena'.

After watching this match I got one thing to say:

Thank GOD we (FC Barcelona) got rid of that poor excuse of a goalkeeper, Vitor Baia... the presents he gave the US forwards was kind of a "dejà vu" of when he was here at FC Barcelona.

Best luck for your next game, USA, you will no longer have the surprise factor ;)

Bike, I truly hope you guys can beat Portugal into the ground.  Then we can pound the hell out of South Korea (yeah right).

Then we can beat you (hey, I want the USA to win every single match!) and you can still get second place if Portugal then beats Korea and you've got the best goal differential!  ;)

I'd like to see your team advance, so I'll pull for ya against Portugal, but on June 14th... I hope Poland loses!  :D   mate!
