With the advent of the new bomber formations, I think it is imperative that we get the Schrag Music installation on the 110, or please start adding the HE-219 or Me-410 (Or redo the Ju-88 to make it a night fighter).
As it is now grabbing to 25k In a fighter and then find yourself dog fighting a lancaster (who can out turn you and out acclerate you). SO it seems to me. With the advent of upward firing guns this is def needed now that there will be more then 1 buff in a formation.
So is there any chances this might get introduced into AH? Hell SWOTL had it, and they had the HE-219 and the DO-335 :D Food for thought.

I agree.

The mob has spoken, well a small one but I am sure many more will speak out. I am also in favor of adding allied night dweebs (err fighters) as well. The 410 is a must, or a JU-88 G series.

bump
Ah you beat me to it..... I was gonna start my 1st "I think we need this thread" about this gun. Would be an awesome addition to the 110. I think it would be great , even take some skill to even get into that position to fire, not to mention give most people something else to do when its nighttime besides log off.
-
++++++++++++sachs i totally agree yer request for that impressive german invention :)
It would be great to add some fat german buffs too :) like He177 or Do217 i think they are a must! Germany played an important role in WW2 but we've got only 2 german buffs (ju88 - ok was important for german actions in the battle of britan, but ar234 was released in the end) so we need He111, Do217 (maybe He177) among the german bomber fleet !!!!!
-
Love to see some of these planes in the game.
UnDeth
-
Agreed, but remember with new bomb dispersal the buffs may not be flying as high as they used to, so 25K dogfights with buffs may not be so common anymore.
-
BRING ON THE GLOSTER METEOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Remember, there are bomber busters (including slanted music installations) that are not German. The J1N1-S Gekko for example.
I'm also far from certain that the Germans invented it. The British were using upward angled fixed gun installations in WWI against German zepplins.
-
Bring on THE ME-163 KOMET!!!!!
-
410 woulde be intreresting for few reasons:
- it adds 3 new gun types to the game : MK 103, BK3.7, BK5
- it carries rear firing guns with remote control (so far unseen in AH)
- so far unseen forward FOV in AH (for a fighter)
- probably the most wide loadout option of any plane in AH
Given the rather strange success of 110 as Jabo and even a fighter in AH, 410 would be even better.
-
Hristo,
Sor far ai I know, the B-17G late model (like we have) had remotely controlled guns. The chin turret certainly is.
-
we dont need new planes just expand the x4 idea to fighters and bombers .....:D .....of course we can still ask for the new planes too lol

See ?
So it would be even easier for HTC team to model the 410. ;)

Ju-88 G-6
The Ju-88 is too pretty to be stuck in the hanger with that peice o crap 202. I was flying a Ju-88 the other night, got in a dogfight with a la-7, after 5 minutes of outflying him and unable to do anything about it thanks to that red ryder they stuck through a hole they drilled in the windshield(musta been Kurt Tanks day off)I was thinking I wish I had a G-6!
We need a nightfighter with Shrage musik.to murder those lanc formations
R4ms for 262s for B-17 formations
a 410 just because
and big buff hunting guns!
and a J2m Raiden
-
In this case, leaked means...
UbiSoft gave the latest patch out to beta tester's to test. When you are beta testing somthing, you can not distribute it, and you should be the only one using it. What happened here is one of the beta tester's started spreading the patch around, while he was supposed to be testing it. One person put it on there server, then 1000's got it. That's what a leak is, anyway, the offical 1.10 (for Il-2) is due out monday, but if you can't wait, download the leak.

With BMW 801 D engines, Lichtenstein SN-2 and FuG 227 "Flensburg" radar. Belly tray with 4 x MG 151/20 is partly visible under fuselage behind open hatch...
-
Hell of an airplane, but don't know how we'd utilize it's mission equipment...you wouldn't be able to use the upward firing cannons on anybody and all that drag from the radar aerials would be for nothing if the radar presentation wasn't portrayed and we had a full night environment...but still a pretty bird.
JU-88G-6 of Oberleutnant Walter Briegleb, Staffelkapitan 7./JNG 2, Autumn '44. 25 kills.
-
I spend a vast amount of time sitting underneath lancs, ju88's b26's just wishing i would have upward firing guns. They are warranted and needed in here big time.
-
But, Sachs, if we had upward firing cannons, I don't think you'd get any time under a buff...he'd be corkscrewing since he will know you're there. The night engagement is needed--Schrage Musik killed because the Brit didn't know the nightfighter was there. My opinion anyway...
-
If this encourages bomber pilots to improve, all the better.
