I just finish building myself a set of rudder pedals. They work perfect, but since I have never had any before, or have any real flight experience, I have one question (I feel stupid asking it).
When I push the left pedal, I go left. Is that correct? It feels wrong, but I'm not sure if it is or not. If it is, I just have to switch some wires around so it's no problem to fix. I just don't want to be flying around with backwards controls and not knowing it!
Thanks,

You must have snow skiied. ;)
Yes, pushing left pedal should yaw you left. In skiing, using the right ski turns you left ;)
-
Aaron, yes thats how it is in real planes.
You are used to joystick movement where down is up and viceversa.
Happened to me when I first started flying. You will get used in a few days.

Thanks guys...
And yes Ripsnort, I used to ski a lot, so I guess that's where I was getting mixed up.
Thanks agian,

Aaron if it was wrong though you wouldnt have to mess with any wires. Go into Setup/Joystick/Rudder from the pulldown menu and click on Invert Axis.

RightF00T, I built the thing so it would be that way for all games. Switching the wires would have been easy, I just didn't want to be learning how to use pedals then someday find out I was all backwards.

Furious, I would for sure, but I dont have a camera. :(

Westy has his reversed...he says it's like a sled push the right control bar and you turn left...I think what realy happened is that he failed to turn before the tree got him :)

Aaron..go into Paint and draw a picture :D

Interestingly enough, left rudder input rolls you left as well as yaw as a secondary flight control input.

These aren't mine, but they look similar to this: http://www.jgrosaerodrome.50megs.com/
