i'm really impressed with the color of the water and the sun refelctions on the waves. nice job as far as realism.

One thing i would like to see in AH is more of a realistic color scheme for terrains/water/sky etc. They just seem to not have that earth-tone look yet when compared to other sim colors.

anyone else comment on color in AH?

Yea, compared to these new sims, Aces High kinda seems like an early SVGA game .  But for what AH misses in super-de-douper graphics, it more than makes up for it in regards to online play, immersion and such.

See, I wish you could toggle on more details, if your system can handle it, much like Falcon 4 does.  Have a P3 800, then set the details, graphics and such to this level...have a p4 2hz?  Crank this and that up.  A demo I downloaded the other day, Jedi Knight 2, had this ability...my new system can handle the high detail stuff now.  My old P3 550 sure couldnt...but I have the option to tune in as much/as little as I want

But...I also do not know how hard those options are to program into a 3D Model, etc.

Superfly...Nate...can you chime in?  Ed-u-ma-cate us  :)

i'm not really focusing on the detail of the modelling, rather, i'm more interested in what AH would look like with more realistic coloration of the AH world. What Lepaul said about the SVGA coloration was a good description of how things are now.

Things, in my opinion, that i would want to adjust:

- color of the sky and it's transition to the horizon.
- sunsets and sky.
- ground colors.
- water textures and colors. (see how "deep" the ocean looks in lomac vs. our very bright water surface.) Maybe ours (AH's) have too much contrast in the texture of the water.....man i wish i had more time to devote to making maps and textures!!

Yeah, i'd love to see anyone try to play AH or any real hard core sim with a gamepad. Mwahaha. Consoles suck.

Does Germany currently have MiG-29's in their AF aresenal?  I hadn't thought about what re-unification would mean to their military.

And.. if the game has A-10's in it.. I'll be checking it out.  I just hope they are kept to an attack role and not an A2A role.

Yes, Germany has MiG 29s.

There is a program on Discovery Wings from time to time about the German MiGs (they also have F4s) giving US pilots training in fighting against them.  The one I saw on Discovery Wings was about some Navy F-18 drivers training to tangle with MiGs.  Amazing in flight footage.

You've got to admire the MiG 29...can operate on the same field as a Cessna and perform with the F16s/F18s.  Our American jets are real precision machines...a landing in a Cessna airport would be a disaster, wholly FOD damage to the engines and intakes  :)

Note:
Gamespot wrote that LOMAC's release date is N/A in the interview...

HTC releases new version in 2 weeks.
SSI releases new version in 2 years. :D
