When a flight is over, I would like to receive more then just 'You have landed safely' or 'You have ditched'. I'd like some quick information about my flight, like:
System> You have landed safely.
System> 4.5 fighter perks awarded (452.4 total)
And that's as a minimum. Ideally, I'd like a couple other quick blurbs:
System> You were hit: You hit:
System> 20mm 5 0
System> 50cal 12 0
System> 75mm AP 1 4
This would be really cool because you could see what specifically you did, it would give you an idea why one ping killed you, and it would stop these asinine posts with people claiming "dude, i put 150 rounds into you, and you didn't blow up!" because they assume every round of their spray & pray session was true.
Finally, if it was feasible, it would be sweet to have a list of people who you hit and who hit you during your flight. Nothing fancy, just:
System> You tangled with: DJ666, AKDork, 1415926845, deeznuttz
The list would just be based on people who you pinged or hit you, irrespective of whether or not either of you died. This would make an anonymous opponent easier when they just finished you off or the kill credit went elsewhere.
Comments?

Am I really the only person who would like this data?
-
neat idea.

Looking at some of the logs provided by the CM's after TOD's etc the info must already be being gathered. I think the option to save activity relating to your plane at the end of a session to a text file would be great. More useful though (to me) would be if you could link this to the film viewer so it displayed as you watched a film (Bit like a "Debug" trace when stepping through a program).
Nice idea

Both the original, and this, are great ideas. I often wonder just what kind of round brought me down.

I think this feature would be great! Also, maybe the ability to see specific hit locations on your airplane. Just an option in the "hanger" to view the hit locations and damage received from the last sortie.

Now THATS a cool idea.
Put the option in the Hangar, "DEBRIEF" and have all that info there. Would be really cool.
-
Instead of cluttering to already overburdened text bar, have a "Sortie Diary" button on the clipboard containing information such as:
Plane/GV/Boat used
result (landed/ditched/captured/killed)
launched from/landed at
Launch time AH and local
time of flight
assists on xxxx in xxxx
victories over xxxx in xxxx
damage done to you
damage done by you (attack)
perks awarded
score
the names of any films made during flight
etc.
Make the results of this diary saved to a file on the harddrive so that we may recall all previous sorties.

A lot of really good ideas here. I support all of these suggestions. It would enhance personal enjoyment without having any sort of negative effect on other players.
Well worth the programming time IMO. As has been stated it seems most of this is already being gathered anyway.
Again, good ideas!

Don't forget to date them, film1342 older than film20 was only date-able by windows date-sorting.
-
Yes very nice!
This will cut down on a ton of post-fight whining ;)
"I swear I put 300 rounds in you and nothing!! %&*#$ POS"... etc
I agree 100% :)
-
I'm gonna punt this. I like these ideas as well
This would great original feature that a lot of people would appreciate

Hi,
This is an excellent idea. Something similar has been suggested before and recieved a very good response from HT, along the lines of yes, we shall do this at some point. It can be found http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46919&highlight=text+log

Ok, any chance Hitech will read this and comment? Can anyone suggest a place to post this where he will see it for consideration? For instance, I know he occasionally posts in General, and I've seen responses in Bug reports, but I don't recall seeing anything from him in here.
...or, should I just siddown and shaddup? :)
-
I can just see mine now...
SYSTEM: You exceeded vne and ripped your wings off.
SYSTEM: You stalled and crashed like the goof you are.
SYSTEM: Guess that tree was taller than you thought, huh?
SYSTEM: So you were what, AFK?
SYSTEM: LAWNDART!
SYSTEM: Hmmm, back in the tower already?
SYSTEM: Ok look, that's the 5th time in a row Fester has shot you down, don't you think it is time to find a different field to up from?
-
lol
-
lol
Mine would be
SYSTEM: Time to take off from a non-capped field don't ya think?
-
SYSTEM: Stop turning with N1Ks!!
-
So, does anyone know if this would be a client change or a server change?

Ah, roger that. I'm glad I reconsidered my first impulse......
: )

Hi,
Still a good idea, but after considering what might be thrown up in the log, could be a can of worms HTC doesn't really want to open.
i.e.
You hit ****14 times with 20mm cannon
**** hit you 5 times with .50 cal
Your dead......

Sure, but at least those threads would beat the claims of 'I put 500 .50 cal rounds into you!' (which are bogus).
-
(unless, of course, it's two stationary GVs, I suppose)

Try filming and using the new film viewer we have. It gives a lot of info:)
-
it does?
-
Even if it does, it doesn't seem reasonable to require that we log off, exit the Aces High executable, load the film viewer, pull up our last film, and review it when a blurb in the radio buffer would have been sufficient.
-
you don't have to exit AH
