Just wondering, because it was rumored it would have neg-G engine cutouts modelled.

Sad but no IL2 for me :(

Can you be more specific about your problem, what do you mean no cockpit?
I'm running WinXP pro with GF4 4400 and never had that kind of problem or hear of.

Post by: capt. apathy on June 10, 2002, 08:32:52 PM: i installed it today and can't finish a campaign mission without it freezing my system. I've been playing a custom campaign, I'm gonna try a standard one tonight and see if i have the same problem

Post system specs, IL2 is very picky about harware and drivers.

512 MB RAM PC133
Asus KT333 MB
Creative GeForce 3 Ti 500 28.32 Drivers
Creative Audigy eX Soundcard
2 x 40 GB HDD in Raid config

Now the problem:

I can't play from inside the cockpit (F1) in most planes, leaving me only the FW190 A8, Mig-3, the new I-16, and a couple more.

The curious thing is that if I fresh install version 1.0, there are no problems whatsoever. BUT, when I apply the patch, there's the problem again.

Pity is that this is the only problem I can find, as the game runs veeewy veeeewy smoothly.

Are you running game when you are in admin mode?

Did you run setup after you upgraded version?

Are you running official patch or beta. (If beta you must reinstall game completely before applying 1.10 official add-on/patch)

I did a complete reinstall just to have a fresh installation to install the patches to, and it ran slightly better... but that's no doubt due to the fresh installation as opposed to one that's been upgraded 2 or 3 times.

But installing the 1.1patch over the beta works fine.

I find myself on the tarmac, external view. I press F1, nothing. Shift+F1, nothing (Keys are correctly configured). All external views work fine.

Bueno, mejor en castellano que nos entenderemos mejor :D. A mi me pasó exactamente lo mismo durante la beta; bajé un parche, lo instalé, y perdí las vistas internas de varios aviones. Al volver a la versión anterior, las recuperaba, para volver a perderlas al reinstalar el patch. Se solucionó al bajar de nuevo el patch o al instalar el siguiente, no recuerdo bien... Puede ser que el patch que bajaste esté corrupto y te de esos errores. Ale, a ver si hay suerte...
