Title: video still not working

Asus Geforce2 GTS...  have tried 29.17 28.32 29.42 cert and non.

When ever I start up, all I get is a white screen with the spirals of the clipboard.    

No other problems.

win2k
amd 1gig
512k ram

I recall having the same problem initially when I upgraded my displaycard..

I just can't remember now what fixed it!

Did you make sure you have DirectX8.1 installed properly?
What about firewall, you have one? Because if you try to launch the game and the firewall blocks the packets you will hang to a white screen.

no firewalls.   Direct x 8.1 .    This is the only thing I have had a problem with.

It just seems the new drivers wont work.
The older 23.11 are very slow.

My GF3 seemed to work best with 21.83.  You might want to try deleting your video config file in Aces high.  When you relaunch AH try DISABLE PALETIZED TEXTURES and maybe a lower resolution.  Some say it is best if game and desktop resolution same.  My laptop had those spirals when I transferred my settings folder from my desktop puter and res was too high for it.

w2k seems to be a constant with this graphics bug...

dunno what the fix is tho

Rip out the late model drivers and try 7.58's for Win2k.

They will work.

2x.xx drivers on anything older than a GeForce 3 is a gamble IMO.

That worked.

I can now switch between the sim and help pages without losing colour.  Framerates are normal as well.


7.58 for win2k.....that was the solution.

I've just installed a GF4ti4400 and am also getting the white screen.

I've installed the latest nvidia 29.42 drivers.

How do I get this card to work in AH? It works fine in other sims and programs.

I would suggest trying the  7.58 driver for win2k.
IF you are running win2k that is.
