Title: VMF-111 =DevilDogs= Deactivated 6/10/02

Having been an active squadron in Aces High from Beta days, the VMF-111 has officially closed doors.  
It started out with Sundog, Wrongto and JimBear all huddled together for protection from the big bad wolfs from WBs and AW that hunted those early skies. We grew and absorbed pilots from the Airwarrior Squadron and for 2 years fielded an active roster of 20 pilots. I will always miss those days and the fine folks that we flew with and against.

Damn, sorry to hear that. :(  If any "stray dogs" out there, contact me immediately, I have an opening or two for ya.

Just wanted to add that I met Jimbear, Raider, and Maddog at the 2000 con, great guys!  The whole squad was/is a class act, extremely efficient flyers! all of ya.

JB, when you, Sundog, and the rest bailed, it just wasn't the same anymore.   We had great times and I will truly miss flying with you guys. I have gone over to fly with Weave, Wrongto, and Roper in the Arabian Knights squad. I am not official AK, but they have allowed me to fly with them for a couple weeks now. A great bunch of guys. If I don't get accepted, then I will look elsewhere. I love flying in a group. Solo is not for me.
