Title: Free haircuts
Post by: AKDejaVu on June 12, 2002, 02:32:40 PM
A barber was cutting a priest's hair.  When done, the priest asked how much the haircut was and the Barber replied, "You're a priest, you do God's work... I couldn't possibly charge you."  The priest thanked him and went on his way.  The next morning, when the Barber went to open the door to his shop, he found 12 Bibles sitting on his doorstep.

That day, he was cutting a police officer's hair.  When done, the officer asked how much the haircut was and the Barber replied, "You're a police officer, you protect us... I couldn't possibly charge you."  The officer thanked him and went on his way.  The next morning, when the Barber went to open the door to his shop, he found a box with a dozen donuts in it sitting on his doorstep.

That day, the barber was cutting a lawyer's hair.  When done, the lawyer asked how much the haircut was and the Barber replied, "You're a lawyer, you protect our rights... I couldn't possibly charge you."  The lawyer thanked him and went on his way.  The next morning, when the Barber went to open the door to his shop, he found 12 lawyers waiting at his doorstep.

LOL.

one thing though:
I would change the punchline to read " The next morning, when the Barber went to open the door to his shop, he found 12 lawyers waiting on his doorstep"

Let us figure out why they are there.
