I talked to HT and Pyro and Natedog and Superfly and they all agreed.  They HATE the P-38.  And you know this man.

the P38 does suck. It has two engines and still performs poorer than most other fighters,except maybe the Brewster buffalo. It was a waste of money and the only stupid idea of Kelly Johnson.

It only sucks when you're in front of it.  If you're aft they blow.

I was watching a video on flying the P38 last night (Amazon finally sent me Gun Camera Footage, Naval Aiviation, and the P38 vid) and they said more killes were scored in the P38 than any other type.  Is that true?

Gun Camera Footage was hard to watch; particularly the nice, slow motion views of B17s and B24s getting all shot up.  You can tell the gunners were already killed in several of those scenes...
