Because if things continue like this much longer i seriously will consider booking the nearest ride outa AH.
For one reason only, I CANNOT FIGHT INVISIBLE VEHICLES !
I have just witnessed the following in the MA 450 players, fighting at V69 v the Rooks.
Having just killed and seen a KI61 go down i started getting pinged, evaded checked all around no con in sight, more pings scissored, scanned no cons yet more pings, break hard, heavy pings and i die.
Spitting feathers i go to tower of V69 and watch as troops spawn from an invisible vehicle just outside map room and capture the base.
At this point AH ceases to be a fun game anymore.
I do not believe this is the same as the Linksys router thing thats going around as i believe they say they cannot see other planes so cannot fight them.
In this case they obviously could see me and kill me as they tracked and pinged me on four separate occasions as i tried to evade an invisible enemy.
I do not know how they do it, if its intentional or not or even if its a server/routing issue but its gotta be stopped somehow.
Or is it even connected somehow to the routing change HTC made a few weeks ago ?
Anyway point is I can only stand so much of this sort of crap, i have enough stress at work and life in general without coming here to have it stoked up, and me shouting and cursing at my monitor.
Maybe the price should go back up as we never had these problems until the price drop.

an invisible plane cut a 27 kill streak I was doing in a Fw190A8
Is the first time it happens to me (I'm flying on a regular basis for the first time since a couple of months). and you BET I am pissed as hell.
I hope this dissapears in 1.10

It is very hard to see a vehicle if its shooting you from max range. You know that there is no icons in enemyvehicles when you're in a vehicle? You need to use all zoom possibilities you have in AH.
Just get used to it and use it also yourself.

It's a game and not ur RL! I would suggest to watch ur language and to play chess instead of AH!

Ya know I'd *never* noticed anything weird in the arena until last night. A tiff fighting me at 15k disappeared about 4k from me, I figured he'd discoed but he reappeared about 3 seconds later 500 yards off my 6. I scissored and got on his 6 again at which point the cloak came back on.
Then a low B26 went past and I got distracted.....you know how it is. Dunno what happend to the tiff.

Ok, I'm new here, but after you are killed dosen't the text buffer display the name of the pilot who killed you? Or are you saying that you know who killed you, it's just that he was cloked? I use a Linksys 4 port router and people are disappearing and then reapearing all around me. Wish I knew more about AH to help you with this problem.

First off...Im gonna be blunt..Have HTC jump in anytime..first off they broke the 64 player limit along time ago. Yes I thinK there server is still slow but at the same time i think alot of players have some serious upgrades to be made at the same time.
I have a fast cpu and I dont see ghost planes around me(Thats just me) then again I dont fly on the weekends at peek times. I have seen planes LAG out, when that happens its either they freeze and you can kill em or super warps.
Here goes guys..yes I know we cant all have a super cpu.
My opnion..get with the times...if you have anything less then a p3 800, UPGRADE. Your going to have too sooner or later period.
Major issue, if your with AOL, this goes with there high speed bandwidth cable, ADSL, your a diddlying MORON. sorry im honest. LOSE it quick, lose it quicker then your first time trying to get your donut out of your pants losing your virginity. Help get rid of the lag by going highspeed also. Go with a local HIGHSPEED connect, doesnt mean your 56k wont live up to it but for crying out loud go with a company that provides good service in your area. Yes we all cant do it. but we can try to prevent it.

Mipoikel, i was not in a ground vehicle when this happened i was shot down while flying a plane and trying to evade the invisible plane that kept pinging me.
Then i watched from the tower as the VH had just been strafed and killed by an invisible plane, then i see troops appearing right in front of the map room on the ground as if they just walked through a door in space.
It had nothing to do with me in a ground vehicle and not seeing an icon on an attacking vehicle.
Duedel yes its a game, but when playing a game you expect to have a chance to compete and win, newsflash if you cant see them you cant fight them.
As for the chess game how would you feel if you turned your back for a split second and then find your opponent has stolen your rooks ?
And Mave nothing about my computer or connection is slow so that is not an issue at all in this case.
Last time i bothered approx 6 months ago i topped the 3Dmark tests of AH users by a considerable margin.

This invisible plane strafed the VH, and then dropped troops?
Also don't the troops have to capture the town now, not the airfield?

It was a vehicle field V69 so no town involved, and you misunderstood the plane killed me and the VH then an also invisible ground vehicle let the troops out.
And before anybody asks my connection was as good as you expect with 450 players in arena and pinging steady 120 - 130ms.

Just curious, is the name of the killer consistent in everyone "invisible plane" event? Maybe a hacker? (Shrugs). Probably a server problem, but thought we might look around for evidence of maybe something else...
I saw a couple "Warped out of line of sight" yesterday both Tiffy's...but the arena had about 470 people in it...

It sounds like a net split. Stuff like that happens when you run out of bandwidth, or you have too high of a packet loss... or it happens and you're on a Linksys router and have not taken the steps that have been mentioned in various other "disappearing plane" threads to allow the proper UDP and TCP ports through. UDP more important because that's the one that ships the data for plane location and such... TCP is pretty much just the chat stuff.

Just a message that says you have been killed in the text buffer. Takes you right to the tower from where you upped. No one gets credit for the kill........you just get shot down and end up in tower.
